HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint

VINCENT PYKE, Esq.,

to be Returning and Registration Officer for the election of Members of the House of Representatives for the following Districts, viz.,—

in the room of H. W. Robinson, Esq. These appointments to take effect on and from the 1st day of November, 1869.

CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PORT CHALMERS.—EXTRAORDINARY VACANCY.

—I hereby give notice that the Nomination of Candidates for Election to the Office of Auditor, will take place in the Town Hall, on Wednesday, October 20th, at 12 o’clock noon; and the Election, if any, will take place on Monday, October 25th, 1869.

All nominations must be in form of Schedule D, “Otago Municipal Corporations Ordinance 1865,” and lodged with the Town Clerk on or before noon of the day herein named.

THE Partnership hitherto existing between the undersigned, as Proprietors and Publishers of the Illustrated New Zealand Herald, under the designation of WHEELER & CO., is this day dissolved by mutual consent.

All debts due to the said co-partners will be collected by R. T. Wheeler, by whom also the liabilities of the said concern will be discharged.

I, THE UNDERSIGNED JOHN EVANS, hereby make application to register “The All Nations’ Water Race and Mining Company Registered,” under the provisions of “The Mining Companies’ Limited Liability Act 1865.” And I do solemnly and sincerely declare that the following statement is, to the best of my belief and knowledge, true in every particular, namely:—

  1. The name and style of the Company is “The All Nations’ Water Race and Mining Company, Registered.”

  2. The place of intended operations is the Marawhenua Gold Field, in the Province of Otago.

  3. The nominal Capital of the Company is Two Thousand Pounds (£2000), in one hundred (100) shares of Twenty Pounds (£20) each.

  4. The amount already paid up is Thirty Pounds.

  5. The name of the Manager is “John Evans.”

  6. The Office of the Company is at the Offices of Messrs. Sumpter and Lemon in Thames Street, Oamaru, in the Province of Otago.
