IMPOUNDED on the tenth day of July, 1869, by E. B. Atkinson, Esq., one dark bay Mare, branded J M off shoulder, J R or J B off neck, star on forehead; one bay Mare, near shoulder, small star; owners unknown, for trespassing on fenced land, for which no damages are claimed; and in default of being released, the above cattle will be sold at the Public Pound at Oamaru, on the sixth day of August, 1869, at 12 o'clock noon.

CITY OF DUNEDIN.

NOMINATION of Councillors and Auditors for Municipal Year ending 1st August, 1870.

PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Nominations of Candidates for election to the several offices of Councillors and Auditors for the year ending 1st August, 1870, will be declared on Wednesday, the 28th day of July instant, at the Terrace of the Provincial Council Chambers, at the hour of noon.

The Councillors retiring by rotation are—

For South Ward—Cr. H. S Fish.

" High " —Cr. Alex. Carrick.

" Bell " —Cr. Louis Thonemann.

" Leith " —Cr. Henry Driver.

Nominations must be in form of Schedule D of the "Otago Municipal Corporations Ordinance 1865," and be lodged at the Office of the Town Clerk, Princes Street, where blank forms may be had on or before noon of the day herein fixed for the declaration.

One Councillor to be elected for each Ward, and two (2) Auditors to be elected for the City.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Copartnership carried on for some time past at Adelaide, South Australia, Melbourne, Victoria, Brisbane, Queensland, and Dunedin, New Zealand, by Alexander Sinclair Murray, and Peleg Whitford Jackson, under the firm of Murray and Jackson, was this day dissolved by mutual consent. Mr. A. L. Blake, 55 Elizabeth Street, is empowered to discharge and settle all debts due to and by the said co-partnership concern.
