NOTIFICATION.

Superintendent’s Office,
Dunedin, 5th January, 1869.

NOTICE is hereby given, that by virtue of the powers vested in me by the “Impounding Ordinance 1862,” I have established a Public Pound on Section numbered 109, Block V, Otepopo District, in the Province of Otago, and that I have appointed

Donald Campbell,
of Otepopo aforesaid, Farmer, to be keeper of the said Pound.

Superintendent of the Province of Otago.


His Honour the Superintendent directs it to be notified, that by virtue of the powers conferred on the Superintendent of the Province of Otago, by the “Otago Waste Land Act 1866,” he has by warrant under his hand, and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Province, duly appointed

Chief Surveyor of the Province of Otago, to be Chief Commissioner of the Waste Land Board of the Province of Otago, constituted by the said Act, vice W. H. Cutten, Esquire.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the Gold Mining Lease granted to Spiers and Company, for Section 14, Block XVIII, Tuapeka East, in the Province of Otago, for Gold Mining purposes, has been cancelled, and that the said land is open for occupation by holders of Miners’ Rights.

INFORMATION is requested respecting the undermentioned German subjects, who are supposed, at the present time, to be living in New Zealand:—

Albertina Noess, whose maiden name was Winter, and whose husband is a Carpenter.

Frantz Kill, of Rasten, district of Trier, near the Rhine, Butcher and Cattle dealer, and who, in December 1864, was living at Pangairiri.

Friedrich Behrens, of Burschel, in Hanover, and who, about 1865, sailed from Victoria for New Zealand.

The above-mentioned persons are requested to communicate their present address to the Consul of the North German Confederation, Dunedin.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

This is to certify, that the partnership hitherto subsisting between Henry John Cope and George Fache, trading under the style and firm of Cope and Fache, Newspaper Proprietors, Printers, and Auctioneers, at Clyde, has this day been dissolved by mutual consent. The business will be carried on by George Fache, who will settle all claims against, and receive all monies due to, the said firm of Cope and Fache.
