THE HOUKA ASSESSMENT, 1868-9.—Notice is hereby given that in terms of the VIIth Section of the “Otago Roads Ordinance 1865,” a notice has been given to the General Road Board, by a member of the said Board, of intention, at the next monthly meeting of the Board, to propose the revocation of the resolution of the Board, passed at meeting held on the 17th November, 1868, said resolution being as follows:
“Resolved to sustain the objection; the assessment to be on the Annual Value system, and as per XXXIst Section of the ‘Otago Roads Ordinance 1865.’”
And notice is hereby further given that such notice of revocation will be heard at the meeting to be held on the 7th day of January, 1869.

PUBLIC NOTICE, under Section 1, Regulation VI, of the Otago Gold Fields Rules and Regulations:—Application having been made to me by JAMES NEWSOME and others to declare that that portion of the Otago Gold Field described in the Schedule hereto may be occupied in claims of one acre in extent for each holder, a miner’s right, I hereby give notice that such application, and any objections thereto, will be heard at my office at Naseby on the 24th day of December instant, at 11 o’clock in the forenoon.

All that portion of the Otago Gold Field situate at Kyeburn Diggings, and bounded as follows, viz.: Commencing at the junction of Morgan’s Gully with the Kyeburn; thence by Morgan’s Gully to its source; thence by a line in a southerly direction to the source of German Creek; thence by German Creek to its junction with the Kyeburn; and thence by the Kyeburn to the starting point.

In the matter of GEORGE PERRIMAN, of Dunedin, in the Province of Otago and Colony of New Zealand, merchant, a debtor:
And in the matter of “The Bankruptcy Act 1867.”
NOTICE is hereby given that a sufficient number of the Creditors of the above-named bankrupt not having attended at the adjourned meeting of creditors held this day, the provisional Trustee has by virtue of “The Bankruptcy Act Amendment Act 1868” become invested with all the powers conferred on, and is to perform all the duties required of trustees and supervisors by “The Bankruptcy Act 1867;” And notice is hereby further given that a public sitting of the Supreme Court has been appointed to take place on Monday, the 14th day of December, 1868, for the above-named Bankrupt to pass his last examination and to make application for his discharge.
