NOTIFICATION.
Superintendent’s Office, Dunedin, 29th October, 1868.
NOTICE is hereby given, that by virtue of the “Impounding Ordinance, 1862,” I have established a Public Pound on the Pound Reserve in Block I, Wyndham District, in the Province of Otago, and that I have appointed
James Maben,
of Mataura, in the said Province, settler, to be keeper of the said Pound.

HIS HONOR THE SUPERINTENDENT directs
it to be notified that he has appointed
Mr. Robert Kirkpatrick,
to be a Manager of Palmerston Cemetery, vice Mr. James Runciman, who has left the district.

it to be notified that he has received and accepted the resignation of
George Duncan, Esquire,
as a member of the Executive Council, and as Secretary of Land and Works.

PUBLIC NOTICE.
Under Section VI of the Otago Gold Fields Rules and Regulations.
Sufficient proof having been shown to me that that portion of the Otago Gold Fields, described in the Schedule hereto annexed, has been fairly tested, and is either wholly or for the greater part of an inferior character as regards the value of its gold deposits, I hereby give notice that the same may be occupied by holders of Miners Rights in claims of the under-mentioned size, namely: One acre for each holder of a miner’s right, provided that no block claim shall exceed more than six acres altogether.
