for the Superintendent, with the advice and consent of
the Otago General Road Board, from time to time, by
proclamation in the Gazette, to alter, vary, diminish, or
enlarge the boundaries of any or all of such districts,
and to increase the number of such districts by forming
and naming new districts:

And whereas it is expedient to alter and enlarge the
boundaries of the Chalfont Road District as proclaimed
in the Provincial Government Gazette, No. 383, on the
thirteenth day of September, 1865:

Now therefore I, James Macandrew, Esquire,
Superintendent of the Province of Otago, with the advice
and consent of the General Road Board, do hereby
proclaim and declare that the boundaries of the Road
District of Chalfont as proclaimed in the Provincial
Government Gazette, No. 383, on the thirteenth day of
September, 1865, shall be altered and enlarged, and
that the area bounded as hereinafter described shall,
from the day of the date hereof, be the Chalfont Road
District (that is to say):—

All that area bounded on the north by the Township
of Hampden and the Otepopo Survey District; on the
west by Block XIII, Moeraki Survey District; on the
south by the southern boundary of said Block to a road
line between Sections 1 and 6, Block XI, said Moeraki
Survey District; thence on the south-west by the said
road line to the boundary line between Sections 3 and
10, said Block XI; thence on the north-west by Sec-
tions 3, 4, 5, 31, and portion of Coal Reserve, to the
Main North Road; thence on the west by the Main
North Road; and on the south-west by the water-shed
of the Horse Range; south by portion of Block III,
said Moeraki Survey District; east by the Ocean to
the Township of Hampden.

Given under my hand and issued under the Public
Seal of the Province of Otago this twenty-
second day of September, one thousand eight
hundred and sixty-eight.

PROCLAMATION.

Road District of Blue Mountain altered and
enlarged.

By His Honor James Macandrew, Esquire, Superintendent
of the Province of Otago.

WHEREAS by an Ordinance passed by the Super-
intendent and Provincial Council of the Province
of Otago, intituled the “Otago Roads Ordinance,
1865,” it is amongst other things enacted that, until
otherwise provided, pursuant to the provisions of the
said Ordinance, there should be sixty-one districts,
which should be named as specified in the Schedule to
the said Ordinance annexed marked B: And it is also
by the said Ordinance provided that it should be lawful
for the Superintendent, with the advice and consent of
the Otago General Road Board, from time to time, by
proclamation in the Gazette, to alter, vary, diminish, or
enlarge the boundaries of any or all of such districts,
and to increase the number of such districts by forming
and naming new districts:

And whereas it is expedient to alter and enlarge the
boundaries of the Road District of Blue Mountain as
proclaimed in the Provincial Government Gazette, No.
520, on the fifteenth day of January, 1868:

Now therefore I, James Macandrew, Esquire, Super-
intendent of the Province of Otago, with the advice and
consent of the Otago General Road Board, do hereby
proclaim and declare that the boundaries of the Road
District of Blue Mountain, as proclaimed in the
said Gazette, No. 520, on the said fifteenth day of
January, 1868, shall be altered and enlarged, and
that the area bounded as hereinafter described shall,
from the day of the date hereof, be the Blue Mountain
Road District (that is to say):—

All that area commencing at a road line at the north-
east angle of Section 1, Block XI, Moeraki Survey
District, and bounded on the north by portion of Block
XIII and Block XIV, said Moeraki Survey District;
on the west by the eastern boundary of Block VIII, said
Moeraki Survey District, to the south-east angle of
Section 50, said Block VIII; thence on the north by
Sections 50, 49, 48, 47, 46, 45, and 29, said Block VIII;
thence again on the west by Sections 30, 32, said Block
VIII, and by the Dunstan Road, passing through Blocks
VII, V and IV, said Moeraki Survey District, to the
southern angle of section 2, said Block IV; thence from
the said southern angle on the south by a road line to the
Main North Road, thence on the east by the said Main
North Road to the Coal Reserve in said Block XI;
thence on the north-east by Section 30, said Block XI;
on the south-east by said Section 30, Sections 29,
27, 25, 36, and 10, said Block XI; thence again on the
north-east by Sections 9, 7, and 6, said Block XI, to
the point of commencement.

Given under my hand, and issued under the public
seal of the Province of Otago, this twenty-
second day of September, one thousand eight
hundred and sixty-eight.

By His Honor James Macandrew, Esquire, Superinten-
dent of the Province of Otago.

WHEREAS by an Ordinance passed by the Super-

1865,” it is amongst other things enacted that, until
otherwise provided, pursuant to the provisions of the

for the Superintendent with the advice and consent of
the Otago General Road Board, from time to time, by
Proclamation in the Gazette, to alter, vary, diminish, or
enlarge the boundaries of any or all of such districts,
and to increase the number of districts by forming and
naming new districts.

And whereas it is expedient to form a new District,
to be called the North Taieri Road District: Now
therefore I, James Macandrew, Esquire, Superinten-
dent of the Province of Otago, with the advice and
consent of the Otago General Road Board, do hereby
proclaim and declare that the area bounded as hereinafter
described shall, from the day of the date hereof, be formed
into a Road District, to be named the North Taieri Road
District (that is to say):—

All that area commencing at the north-east angle of
Section 26, Block III, Dunedin and East Taieri Survey
District, and bounded on the north by the northern
boundary of said Block III and Block II, said survey
district, to the Taieri River; towards the west by the
Taieri River, and the continuation through the Bush
Reserve of the division line between Sections 11 and
16, Block I, said survey district, to said Taieri River,
thence by said Section 11, Sections 12, 14, and 26,
said Block I, Section 57, Irregular Block, Taieri,
Sections 10 and 4, Block XVI, and Section 10, Block XI,
Taieri Survey District; towards the south-west and...
