PROCLAMATION
Of Governor having assented to certain Ordinances.
By His Honor Thomas Fraser, Esquire, Deputy Superintendent of the Province of Otago.
WHEREAS in the twenty-fourth Session of the Provincial Council of the Province of Otago, held in the thirty-first year of the reign of Her Majesty Queen Victoria, there were passed by the said Council the following Bills, (that is to say)–
- Roads Diversion Ordinance, 1865, and Roads Diversion Ordinance (No. 2) 1865 Amendment Ordinance, 1868;
- Papakaio Accommodation House Site Sale Ordinance, 1868;
- Queenstown Reserve Management Ordinance, 1868;
And whereas the said Bills were upon the eleventh day of June last presented to the Superintendent of the Province of Otago for the assent of the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, and the said Superintendent did thereupon declare that he reserved the said Bills for the signification of the Governor’s pleasure thereon:
And whereas the said Bills have since been laid before the Governor of New Zealand, and he has assented to the same:
Now therefore, I, Thomas Fraser, Deputy Superintendent of the Province of Otago, do hereby proclaim and declare that the said Bills have been laid before His Excellency the Governor of New Zealand, and that His Excellency has assented to the same.
Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Otago, at Dunedin, this twenty-seventh day of July, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight.

- Lowther Broad, Esq., R.M., to be Visiting Justice of the Gaol at Naseby;
- William Lawrence Stinson, Esq., R.M., to be Visiting Justice of the Gaol at Lawrence and Waitahuna;
- John Nugent Wood, Esq., R.M., to be Visiting Justice of the Gaol at Switzer’s and Mount Benger;
- Richmond Beetham, Esq., R.M., to be Visiting Justice of the Gaol at Arrow.

The Hundred is capable of carrying 400 head of Great Cattle, or 2382 Sheep, apportioned as follows:-
