PROCLAMATION.

Road Districts of Blueskin and Beaconsfield altered and enlarged, and the Road District of Puerakanui altered and diminished.

By His Honor James Macandrew, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.

WHEREAS by an Ordinance passed by the Superintendent and Provincial Council of the Province of Otago, intituled the “Otago Roads Ordinance 1865,” it is amongst other things enacted that until otherwise provided, pursuant to the provisions of the said Ordinance, there should be sixty-one districts which should be named as specified in the Schedule to the said Ordinance annexed, marked B: And it is also by the said Ordinance provided that it should be lawful for the Superintendent, with the advice and consent of the Otago General Road Board, from time to time by proclamation in the Gazette, to alter vary diminish or enlarge the boundaries of any or all of such districts, and to increase the number of such districts by forming and naming new districts:

And whereas it is expedient to alter and enlarge the Blueskin and Beaconsfield Road District, and to alter and diminish the Puerakanui Road District:

Now therefore I, James Macandrew, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, with the advice and consent of the Otago General Road Board, do hereby proclaim and declare that the areas bounded as described in the Schedule hereto shall from the day and date hereof be the Blueskin, Puerakanui, and Beaconsfield Road Districts.

SCHEDULE.

Blueskin Road District shall comprise all that area bounded on the north by the northern boundary of Block II, North Harbor and Blueskin Survey District; on the west by the western boundary of said Block II; south-west and west by Block III, said Survey District;

south by Blocks XII and VII, said Survey District; east by the western boundary of Block IV, said Survey District; to the south-west angle of Section 3, said Block III; thence by the Native Reserve to Blueskin Bay; thence by said Blueskin Bay to the northern boundary of said Block II.

Puerakanui Road District shall comprise all that area bounded on the north by Puerakanui Bay and the Ocean, to the north-east angle of Section 1, Block IV, North Harbor and Blueskin; thence on the west, by Sections 1, 2, and 3, said Block IV; thence by the western boundary of said Block IV; thence on the south by Block VI, said Survey District; and on the east by Block V, said Survey District, to the Ocean.

Beaconsfield Road District shall comprise all that area bounded on the north by Blocks II and III, Waikouaiti Survey District; west by the western boundary of Block I, said Survey District; south by the northern boundary of Block II, North Harbor and Blueskin Survey District, and on the west by the ocean.

Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of Otago, this tenth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight.
