In the matter of Frederick Cross of Dunedin, Timber Merchant, a Debtor.

NOTICE is hereby given that the abovenamed Frederick Cross has, upon the Petition of John Cargill, Edward Bowes Cargill, and George M’Lean, been this day adjudicated a Bankrupt. The first meeting of Creditors will be held at the Supreme Court House, Dunedin, at ten o’clock on Wednesday, the 13th day of May instant, at which place and time, the said Frederick Cross is required, in his own proper person, to surrender.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that His Honor Mr. Justice Chapman has fixed Monday, the eighteenth inst., at ten o’clock in the forenoon, within the Supreme Court House, Dunedin, for the final examination of John Adams, a bankrupt. Application will then be made for the bankrupt’s discharge.

In the matter of “The Bankruptcy Act, 1867,” and in the matter of William Anderson and Andrew Anderson, of Waitati, Blueskin, in the Province of Otago, trading as Licensed Victuallers and Farmers, under the style of “W. & A. Anderson.”

NOTICE is hereby given that on the fourth day of May instant, the above-named William Anderson and Andrew Anderson were adjudicated Bankrupts, and that Wednesday, the thirteenth day of May aforesaid, at ten o’clock in the forenoon, in the Supreme Court House, Dunedin, is appointed for a meeting of Creditors and election of a Trustee for the estate of the said Bankrupts, and at which time and place the said Bankrupts are required to surrender.

To ALL TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS SHALL COME, GREETING:

WHEREAS by “The Regulations of Elections Act 1858,” it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the Governor, by warrant under his hand, from time to time to appoint polling places for each electoral district, within or without the limits thereof, and to appoint any one of such places to be the principal polling place for the district, and all or any of such polling places at any time to abolish, and to appoint other polling places in lieu thereof: And whereas by warrant under the hand of the Governor, the following places were appointed polling places for the districts hereinafter named, for the election of Members of the Provincial Council of the Province of Otago, viz.:

For the District of Dunstan.
The Court House, Roxburgh.

For the District of the Lakes.
The Court House, Maori Point.
The Court House, Cardrona.
The Post-office, Macetown.

And whereas it is expedient to abolish the same:

Now know ye that I, Sir George Ferguson Bowen, the Governor of the said Colony, in pursuance of the power and authority in me vested by the said Act, do hereby abolish the above-named polling places for the said Districts for the election of Members of the Provincial Council of the said Province of Otago.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir George Ferguson Bowen, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and St. George, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-first day of March, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight.
