In the matter of a Deed of Arrangement made by THOMAS AUSTIN, of Riverton, Merchant, a Debtor, for the benefit of all his creditors, and in the matter of the “Bankruptcy Act, 1867.”

NOTICE is hereby given that the above-named Thomas Austin did, on the Fourteenth day of April instant, duly execute a deed of arrangement, whereby he conveyed and assigned to John Leach Butterworth, of Dunedin, Merchant, and Frederick Henry Moore, of Invercargill, Merchant, all the real and personal estate and effects of him the said Thomas Austin, save and except the wearing apparel of the said Thomas Austin and of his wife and his children, and his household furniture and other personal property, not exceeding in value in the whole (inclusive of such wearing apparel) the sum of Fifty Pounds, in trust for the benefit of all and singular the Creditors of the said Thomas Austin: And notice is hereby further given, that the said Deed was this day filed in the Supreme Court of New Zealand, Otago and Southland District.

Dated this 15th day of April, 1868.

I the undersigned, GEORGE PURTON, hereby make application to register the Scandinavian Water Race Company, registered, under the provisions of “The Mining Companies’ Limited Liability Act, 1865,” and I do solemnly and sincerely declare that the following statement is, to the best of my belief and knowledge, true in every particular, namely:—

  1. The name and style of the Company is “The Scandinavian Water Race Company.”
  2. The place of operations is at St. Bathans.
  3. The nominal capital of the Company is Twelve thousand pounds (£12,000), in Two hundred and forty (240) shares of Fifty pounds (£50) each.
