PROCLAMATION.

Road District of Windsor altered and enlarged.

By his Honor JAMES MACANDREW, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.

WHEREAS by an Ordinance passed by the Superintendent and Provincial Council of the Province of Otago, intituled the “Otago Roads Ordinance, 1865,” it is amongst other things enacted that, until otherwise provided, pursuant to the provisions of the said Ordinance, there should be sixty-one Districts, which should be named as specified in the Schedule to the said Ordinance annexed, marked B: And it is also by the said Ordinance provided that it should be lawful for the Superintendent, with the advice and consent of the Otago General Road Board, from time to time, by proclamation in the Gazette, to alter, vary, diminish, or enlarge the boundaries of any or all of such districts, and to increase the number of such districts by forming and naming new districts:

And whereas it is expedient to alter and enlarge the Road District of Windsor:

Now, therefore, I, James Macandrew, Esq., Superintendent of the Province of Otago, with the advice and consent of the Otago General Road Board, do hereby proclaim and declare that the area bounded as described in the Schedule hereto, shall, from the day of the date hereof, be the Windsor Road District.

SCHEDULE.

Commencing at Trig. Station, (Big Hill), situate on the boundary line between the Awamoka and Papakaio Survey Districts, and bounded on the North by a straight line from the said Trig. Station to the South-east angle of Block VI, Awamoka Survey District; and thence by said Block VI; on the West by the western boundary of the Awamoka Survey District to the Kahanui River; on the South by the southern boundary of the said Awamoka Survey District; on the East by the boundary line between the Awamoka and Papakaio Survey Districts to point of commencement.

Road Districts of Coomb Hay and Tuakitoto altered and enlarged.

By His Honor JAMES MACANDREW, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.

Now therefore, I, James Macandrew, Esq., Superintendent of the Province of Otago, with the advice and consent of the Otago General Road Board, do hereby proclaim and declare that the area bounded as described in the Schedule hereto, shall, from the day of the date hereof, be the Coomb Hay and Tuakitoto Road Districts.

SCHEDULE.

Coomb Hay Road District shall comprise all that area bounded on the West by Sections 33, 32, 31, 30, 29, 28, 27, 26, 25 and 24, Block I, Kaitangata, and Sections 39, 38, 37, 36, 35 and 34, Block II, Kaitangata, and by road line forming portion of Western boundary of Block III, Kaitangata; thence on the South by the Northern boundary of the Wangaloa Road District to the Ocean; on the South-east by the Ocean to the Tokomairiro River; and on the North-east by the Tokomairiro River and Sections 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 Block XXVIII, Tokomairiro Survey District.

Tuakitoto Road District shall comprise all that area bounded on the North-east by a direct line from Mount Misery to the North-east angle of Section 25, Block II, Kaitangata; thence by Section 24, and by a straight line from South-west angle of said Section, through Trig. Station H., to the North-east angle of Section 8, Block IV, North Tuakitoto; thence by Section 16, Block XXXVIII, Tokomairiro, and Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, Block X, North Tuakitoto Survey District, to the Main South Road; on the North by the Main South Road; on the West by Lovell’s Creek, Tuakitoto and Kaitangata Lakes to the North-west angle of Section 3, Block I, South Tuakitoto Survey District; thence on the South by the boundary line between Sections 3 and 4, said Block I, and that line continued to the Watershed; thence on the East by said Watershed to Two Stone Hill; thence on the South-east by straight line to Trig. Station J; thence on the East by the Western boundary of Coomb Hay Road District to Mount Misery.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Application made by Thomas Keating for Sixteen (16) Acres of Land, situate at Skipper’s Creek, in the district of Queenstown, in the Province of Otago, for Gold Mining Purposes, has been withdrawn, and that the said land is open for occupation by holders of Miner’s Rights.
