NOTICE TO APPLICANTS

FOR UNSURVEYED LANDS, under “Otago Waste Land Act, 1866.” It is hereby notified to the Applicants whose names appear in the subjoined Schedule, that the Waste Land Board has declared them to be the purchasers of the sections set opposite to their names in the Schedule, and that the purchase money of those sections must be paid to the Receiver of Land Revenue in Dunedin, on or before Thursday, the 19th day of December, 1867, otherwise the applications will be deemed withdrawn, cancelled, and void, and the deposit made at the time of lodging the application will be forfeited.

—In view of an order being shortly sent to Britain by the Government for another supply of Public Library Books, the Committees of Public Libraries throughout the Province are invited to forward to the undersigned, as soon as possible, lists of such books as they may wish to be procured.

GENERAL ROAD BOARD.—PUBLIC NOTICE.

—Notice in writing of all business to be brought before the General Board at the monthly meetings, must be given to the Clerk to the Board, and lodged in his office two clear days before the day appointed for such meeting to take place. Meetings of the Board to be held at Provincial Government Buildings the first Thursday in every month, at 11 o’clock in the forenoon.

APPLICATION FOR DEPASTURING LEASES

OUTSIDE HUNDREDS.—Notice is hereby given that the following applications for Depasturing Leases have been made to the Waste Land Board. Any person desiring to object to the grant of such Lease may do so by lodging with the Board within three months after the first publication of the said application, a statement in writing of the grounds of his objection, and no objection made after the said period of three months shall be entertained by the Board.

POSTPONEMENT.

SALE OF CROWN LANDS by Public Auction, in the Hundreds of Dunedin, East Taieri, West Taieri, Waihola, South Tokomairiro, East Clutha, West Clutha, at the upset price of 10s. per acre.—Notice is hereby given that a sale by Public Auction of the unsold Surveyed Land in the above Hundreds will take place in the Auction Rooms of Wright, Robertson and Company, Manse Street, Dunedin. Sale on Wednesday, 11th, and Friday, 13th, December, 1867, to commence each day at 12 o’clock. For details, see Advertisement Sheet of 13th, 20th, and 27th November, or supply to Auctioneers, who will forward a copy.

CLYDEVALE ROAD DISTRICT.

—In accordance with 10th Clause of the “Otago Roads Ordinance, 1865,” I give notice that a Meeting of persons liable to be rated for Roads within the above-named newly created District, is appointed to be held at the house of Mr. William Drummond, Clydevale Ferry, Clydevale, on Wednesday, the 18th day of December next, at three o’clock in the afternoon.

MERTON ROAD NOTICE.

—The Assessment Roll for this district is now ready, and can be inspected for 14 days at Merton Post Office.
