ADVERTISEMENT SHEET.

ABSTRACT FROM ADVERTISEMENT SHEETS—

4th November, Monday, last day for paying North-east Harbor Road Rate.

7th November, Thursday, 11 a.m., the General Road Board will consider an application to sub-divide Wangaloa Road District, as stated in Advertisement Sheet of 16th October.

7th November, Thursday, 11 a.m., General Road Board will consider application for extending Waiton Road District, by adding a portion of Brighton Road District thereto.

7th November, Thursday, 11 a.m., authority will be asked from General Road Board to levy future rates for Owhiro Road District, on an assessment of the annual value of houses, &c.

8th November, Friday, noon, a Red and White Heifer will be sold at East Taieri Pound.

11th November, Monday, holiday.

15th November, Friday, noon, a bay mare will be sold at East Taieri Pound.

ACCEPTED TENDER

ACCEPTED TENDER for Five Pair of Dobbin Wheels, and Five Pair of Boxes, to fit the old axle arms, complete, £40, for H. M. Gaol, Dunedin.

WROUGHT IRON BEDSTEADS WANTED,

36 according to pattern, to be seen in Lunatic Asylum. Tenders to be lodged at Government Offices, by noon of Friday, 8th November.

TENDERS WANTED for the KURIMOTO ROAD DISTRICT

for the Erection of Bridges and Culverts, and also Side Cuttings. Any person wishing to inspect the said Works are to apply to the Treasurer, at 10 o’clock on the 27th November.

Tenders to be sent in before noon on the 2nd of December. The lowest nor any tender not necessarily accepted.

STEAM TUG.

Tenders will be received, at the Provincial Government Offices, Dunedin, until noon of Friday, 8th November, 1867, from parties willing to place a Tug Steamer on Otago Harbor, capable of towing a ship of 2000 tons burthen, until 31st December, 1868.

For particulars apply to Harbor Master.

The Government will not bind itself to accept any tender.


TOLLS in the Province of Otago to be let by public Auction,

at noon of Tuesday, 3rd day of December, 1867.

The tolls authorised to be taken at the undermentioned Toll-gates and Bridges for the twelve months ending 31st December, 1868, will be sold by public auction, at the Provincial Government Offices, Dunedin, on Tuesday, 3rd day of December, 1867, at noon, to the highest bidder, on his providing sufficient securities for payment of the money monthly, and forthwith entering into an agreement to take the said Tolls.

NOTICE TO AUCTIONEERS.

Applications for licenses, or for renewal of licenses for 1868, must be lodged at the Superintendent’s office on or before the first Tuesday in the month of December next.


ANNUAL ELECTIONS LOCAL BOARDS

ROAD TRUSTEES.—The undermentioned Road Districts not having complied with the terms of the “Otago Roads Ordinance, 1865,” in their elections of Local Boards of Road Trustees for the current year,

Notice is hereby given that meetings of Ratepayers for the election of such Local Boards are appointed to be held, that for—

  1. “Landon,” on Wednesday, 13th November, 1867, at the house of the Honorable H. J. Miller, at three o’clock p.m.

  2. “Lambton,” on Thursday, 14th November, 1867, at the house of Mr. John Mann, at three o’clock p.m.

  3. “Lambourne,” on Friday, 15th November, 1867, at the Kakanui Hotel, at three o’clock p.m.

  4. “Inchclome,” on Saturday, 16th November, 1867, at the house of Mr. James R. Elder, at 3 o’clock p.m.

Note.—The attention of Ratepayers is specially directed to the 9th, 10th and 11th clauses of the “Otago Roads Ordinance, 1865,” for mode of procedure at electoral meetings.
