Extension of Boundaries
Commencing at a point of the Main South Road crossing Abbots Creek; thence on the north by the Main South Road to Section 40, Block VII, Dunedin and East Taieri; thence on the west by said Section 40 and Section 73, said Block VII; thence on the north by said Section 73 and a direct line through Section 34, Block VIII, Dunedin and East Taieri, to its western boundary; thence by Sections 59, 31, 32, and a direct line through Section 30 to its western boundary; thence by Sections 21, 57, and 9, said Block VIII; thence on the west by Sections 15 and 13, Block I, Otokia; thence on the north by Sections 13, 12, 2 of 18, 2 of 19, and 43, said Block I; thence again on the west by Section 1 of 27 (Ed. Res.), and 2 of 27, Block III, Otokia; thence again on the north by Sections 31 and 25, Block II, Otokia, and Sections 21 and 20, Block III, and Sections 35, 36, Block IV; thence again on the west by Sections 45, 46, 47, 48, said Block IV, and Section 31, Block V, and Section 8, Block XXIX, Waihola Survey District; on the south by the Ocean and Kaikorai River to Abbots Creek; thence by said Abbots Creek to the Main South Road, point of starting.
And notice is hereby further given that the General Road Board will, at its next monthly meeting, to be held at Dunedin on Thursday, the 7th day of November next, at 11 o’clock, proceed to consider and decide upon such application. Objections must be lodged two days before the day appointed for the meeting.

HEYWARD.—ELECTION OF LOCAL BOARD OF ROAD TRUSTEES.
The Ratepayers in the above-named District having failed to elect a Local Board of Road Trustees, at the annual meeting appointed to be held within the said district on the 25th June last, notice is hereby given, that a Meeting of Ratepayers for the Election of such Local Board, will be held at Mr. T. Knewstubb’s, in said district, on Monday, the 21st October, now next, at 3 o’clock in the afternoon.
Note.—The attention of Ratepayers is specially directed to the 9th, 10th and 11th clauses of the “Otago Roads Ordinance, 1865” for mode of procedure at electoral meetings.

GENERAL ROAD BOARD.—PUBLIC NOTICE.
Notice in writing of all business to be brought before the General Board at the monthly meetings, must be given to the Clerk to the Board, and lodged in his office two clear days before the day appointed for such meeting to take place. Meetings of the Board to be held at Provincial Government Buildings the first Thursday in every month, at 11 o’clock in the forenoon.
HIGHCLIFF DISTRICT.
The Assessment Roll of Ratepayers for the Year 1867-8 can be seen at my house for fourteen days from this date, between the hours of 10 A.M. and 4 P.M., Sundays and public holidays excepted.

EAST TAIERI ROAD DISTRICT.—Tenders are required, on or before Friday, the 18th instant,
for the Formation of 90 chains Road in the East Taieri District.
Also, on or before Friday, the 1st November, for the Gravelling of said 90 chains.

FLAGSTAFF ROAD DISTRICT.—Notice.
The Assessment Roll for the said district can be inspected fourteen days from date, at the house of Mr. P. JENKINS, Half-way Bush, between the hours of 10 A.M. and 4 P.M., Sundays excepted.

WHITROA ROAD DISTRICT.
In conformity with the 31st Section of the “Otago Roads Ordinance, 1865,” notice is hereby given that the Local Board Road Trustees for the Road District of Owhiro, purpose applying to the General Road Board at its next monthly meeting, to be held at Dunedin on Thursday, the 7th day of November next, for authority to levy future rates on an assessment of the annual value of all land, houses, mills, buildings and hereditaments within said district.

TAINUI TOWNSHIP CORPORATION.
In accordance with the provisions of Clauses 82 and 85 of the “Otago Municipal Corporations Ordinance, 1865,” I hereby give notice that the Assessment of Property within the Town of Queenstown has been duly allowed by the Council, and that the Assessment Roll can be inspected daily at my office between the hours of 11 A.M. and 3 P.M. And I further give notice that any Appeals against said Assessment must be lodged with me, at the Town Clerk’s Office, not later than noon on the 11th October ensuing.

On the 14th day of October 1867, by Mrs. Marshall Brothers, one red and white spotted heifer, top off near horn, no brand; for trespassing Round Hill paddock, for which no damage is claimed; and in default of being released, the above heifer to be sold at the Public Pound at East Taieri, on the 1st day of November, 1867, at 12 o’clock noon.
