NOTICE TO LOCAL ROAD BOARDS.—John Hardy, Land and Road Agent and Surveyor, Dunedin, is prepared to act for Local Boards and country settlers generally, in all the business connected with the General Road Board, the Education Board, or the Provincial Government.

Dunedin, 16th July, 1867.

GENERAL ROAD BOARD.—PUBLIC NOTICE.—Notice in writing of all business to be brought before the General Board at the monthly meetings, must be given to the Clerk to the Board, and lodged in his office two clear days before the day appointed for such meeting to take place. Meetings of the Board to be held at Provincial Government Buildings the first Thursday in every month, at 11 o’clock in the forenoon.

WINDSOR.—NOTICE.—The following persons have been duly elected to serve as a Local Board of Road Trustees—Windsor Road District, for the year ending June, 1861.

MORNINGTON DISTRICT ROAD RATE.—The General Road Board having issued a precept for the collection of the District Road Rate for the year ending June, 1868, Notice is hereby given to the Ratepayers within said Mornington Road District, that the said rate will be payable to the undersigned collector, at his house, within the said district, on or before the 4th day of November next.

BLUESKIN LOCAL BOARD WORKS.—Tenders will be received at the house of Mr. John Aitken, Blueskin bay, up to 12 o’clock noon on Saturday 19th October, 1867, for several works to be done in the Blueskin Road District. The Board do not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender. For further particulars, apply to

EAST TAIERI.—Notice.—The Precept authorising the collection of the Highway Rate for Year 1867-8 having been issued, Ratepayers are requested to pay same to me at my house, Mayfield, within the said District, on or before Wednesday, the 30th Oct., instant.

IMPOUNDED on the 2nd October, 1867, by James Smith, Esq., one bay horse, branded SM off shoulder, for trespassing on his run, for which one pound damages is charged; and in default of being released, will be sold at the Public Pound, Tokomairiro, on Friday the 31st October, 1867, at 12 o’clock noon.

IMPOUNDED on the 2nd day of October, 1867, by Dr. Inglis, one red heifer, white face, no brand; Also by poundkeeper, 5 calves, not branded, owners unknown, for trespassing on grass paddock, Mosgiel, and pound paddocks, for which one pound damage is claimed on red heifer; and in default of being released, the above cattle will be sold at the Public Pound at East Taieri, on the 31st day of October, 1867, at 12 o’clock noon.
