PROCLAMATION
Varying and altering the Licensing District of Queenstown, under the “Licensing Ordinance, 1865.”
By his Honor Captain THOMAS FRASER, Deputy-Superintendent of the Province of Otago.
WHEREAS it is expedient to vary and alter the Licensing District of Queenstown, in the Province of Otago; Now, therefore, I, Thomas Fraser, Deputy-Superintendent of the Province of Otago, by virtue and in exercise of the powers vested in me under the “Superintendent’s Deputy Act, 1866,” and the eleventh section of the “Licensing Ordinance, 1865,” and of every other power in any wise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that from and after the day of the date hereof, and until further notice, Queenstown Licensing District, as proclaimed on the fifth day of February, 1867, shall be divided into two Licensing Districts, to be called respectively as follows:—
- A.—QUEENSTOWN LICENSING DISTRICT.
- B.—SWITZER’S LICENSING DISTRICT.
And I do hereby proclaim and declare that the said Districts respectively shall be bounded and defined in manner following (that is to say):

A. Queenstown Licensing District shall, for the purposes of the said Licensing Ordinance, 1865, comprise the Townships of Kingston, Queenstown, and Frankton, and all that area bounded by a line proceeding from Lorn Peak in a south-westerly direction to the Province of Southland; thence by the Province of Southland to Eyre Peak; thence by the western and northern watersheds of the Wakatip Lake to Fox Peak; thence by the eastern watershed of the Shotover River to the Kawarau River, and by the Kawarau River to the western boundary of the Clyde Licensing District, and by the said boundary to the southern boundary of Run numbered 354; thence due west to Lorn Peak, the starting point.

B.—Switzer’s Licensing District shall for the purpose of the said Ordinance comprise all that area bounded towards the north by the Queenstown Licensing District above described; towards the east by Mount Benger Licensing District; towards the south by Clutha Licensing District; and towards the west by the Province of Southland.
Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Otago, at Dunedin, in the said Province, this twenty-first day of August, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-seven.

PROCLAMATION
Of Governor having assented to the “Southern Trunk Railway Guaranteed Interest Ordinance, No. 2, 1867.”
By his Honor CAPTAIN THOMAS FRASER, Deputy-Superintendent of the Province of Otago.
WHEREAS in the twenty-third Session of the Provincial Council of the Province of Otago, held in the thirtieth year of the reign of her Majesty Queen Victoria, there was passed by the said Council a Bill, shortly intituled “The Southern Trunk Railway Guaranteed Interest Ordinance, No. 2, 1867”: And whereas the said Bill was upon the fifth day of June last, presented to the Superintendent of the Province of Otago, for the assent of the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand: And the said Superintendent did thereupon declare that he reserved the said Bill for the signification of the Governor’s pleasure thereon: And whereas the said Bill has since been laid before the Governor of New Zealand, and he has assented to the same.
Now therefore, I, the said Thomas Fraser, the Deputy-Superintendent of the Province of Otago, do hereby proclaim and declare that the said Bill has been laid before his Excellency the Governor of New Zealand, and that his Excellency has assented to the same.
