In the matter of the Petition of FRANCIS MAGUIRE,
of Dunedin, in the Province of Otago, Debtor;
and in the matter of “The Debtors and Creditors’
Act, 1862,” “The Debtors and Creditors’
Act Amendment Act, 1865,” and “The Debtors and
Creditors’ Act Amendment Act, 1866.”
Monday, the sixth day of May, in the year of our Lord
one thousand eight hundred and sixty-seven.
THE matter of this Petition coming on this day for
the second hearing thereof, upon reading the said
petition and the affidavits filed in these matters, and upon
hearing Mr. Kenyon of Counsel for the Bankrupt aforesaid: It is ordered that George Brodie, Esquire, of Dunedin, in the Province of Otago, Inspector in Bankruptcy
for the said Province, be, and he is hereby appointed
Trustee of the estate and effects of the said Bankrupt:
And that all the real and personal estate of the said
Bankrupt shall vest in the said Trustee by virtue of his
said appointment, and shall be held by him, his heirs,
executors, and administrators, (except the wearing apparel of the Bankrupt, which shall be retained by
him), upon and for the following trusts and purposes,
namely:—

To sell collect and get in such real and personal
estate and receive the monies arising therefrom, and
execute all necessary conveyances and assurances thereof. -
To retain and pay all expenses properly incurred
of and attending such sale, collection, and getting in. -
To pay the poundage and fees payable under the
above-mentioned Acts. -
To pay the costs properly incurred of and incidental
to the Petition in these matters and subsequent thereto,
such costs to be taxed, and also all costs and expenses
in these matters which have been or shall be ordered by
this Court, or by any Judge thereof, to be paid out
of the Estate of the Bankrupt. -
To distribute the net residue of the said Trust
monies between, and amongst, and for the benefit of all
the Creditors at the time of the presentation of his said
Petition, and who shall duly prove their debts by
affidavit within three Calendar months from the date
of this Order, by way of pro rata distribution, subject
to existing legal priorities, but so that the said Creditors
shall not receive more than twenty shillings in the pound
upon their said respective debts. -
To pay the ultimate surplus (if any) of the said
Trust monies to the Bankrupt.

DUNEDIN GAS-LIGHT & COKE COMPANY,

Notice is hereby given, that application is intended
to be made at the ensuing Session of the General
Assembly for an Act to incorporate the Dunedin Gas-
Light and Coke Company, Limited; and that powers
will be sought to be conferred on the said Company by
the said Act to hold land, to enlarge, repair, and main-
tain the buildings already erected within the limits of
the land now held by the said Company under lease,
containing two acres, more or less, and being part of
Section numbered eleven (11) of Block seven (VII.) on
the Survey Map of the Town District of the Province
of Otago; to break up streets and roads, and open
drains to lay down pipes, conduits, and service-pipes,
and to repair, alter, and remove the same; to make and
repair sewers, and to use earth and materials under
streets and roads for that purpose; to erect pillars,
lamp-posts, and other works; to lease the undertaking;
to increase the capital of the Company; to borrow
money on mortgage or bond; to supply gas; to let gas
fittings and meters for ascertaining the quantity of gas
supplied without any such gas fittings and meters
becoming liable to distress for rent or execution; to cut
off the supply of gas for non-payment of rent; and to
enter premises for the purpose of taking away any
meters or gas fittings so let as aforesaid when supply
cut off: And notice is hereby further given, that copies
of the said Bill will be deposited in the Office of the
Colonial Secretary at Wellington, and in the Private
Bill Office of the General Assembly, at the same place,
within fourteen days after the commencement of the
said Session.

NOTICE is hereby given that the partnership hereto-
fore existing between the undersigned, carrying
on business as Sheep Farmers at Taieri Lake Station
in the Province of Otago and Colony of New Zealand,
under the style or firm of GAIRDNER & MAIN, was dis-
solved on the thirteenth day of May instant, by mutual
consent.
And notice is hereby further given that the under-
signed David Forsyth Main will henceforth carry on the
said business and will receive and discharge all out-
standing accounts of the late firm of Gairdner & Main.

Twenty Pounds, or thereabouts, with interest accruing
thereon to date, of payment lodged in his own behalf in
your Bank by Samuel Tregeagle, late of Dunedin,
fisherman, but now deceased, on the ground of my
being the father of the said deceased Samuel Tregeagle,
and therefore his next of kin.
