TENDERS
TENDERS will be received at the house of the undersigned, till 4 o'clock of Friday, the 26th instant, for certain Road Works in the Harliagton District. Specifications, &c., to be seen at the Clerk’s house, and the works will be pointed out to intending contractors on the 23rd instant, after 10 o'clock, a.m.

REGULATIONS
for the Waihola Hundred for 1867
No shall be that one head of great cattle or five head of small cattle may be run on the waste land of the Crown for every four acres of purchased land held by License Holders. Dated 13th April, 1867.

Regulations of the Wardens of the West Clutha Hundred for the year 1867:
The number of great cattle which shall be depastured on the Hundred this current year shall not exceed seven hundred and twenty (720) head.
The apportionment which each Depasturing License holder shall be entitled to run shall be the head to every five acres held by him, viz.—Alexander M’Niel, 221 head of great cattle; William Moffat, 140; John Watt, 90; Robert Campbell, 84; Alexander Ayson, 40; T. H. Meeking, 35; James J. Hay, 35; John Dalziel, 25; James Brownlie, 20; James Main, 20; William Howie, 10;—total, 720.

NORTH-EAST HARBOUR ROAD BOARD.
Tenders wanted for the cutting and forming of 60 chains, more or less, after chain.
Plans and specifications to be seen at the house of Robert Roger, Sen., Halfway, Macandrew’s Bay.
Addressed tenders will be received at the same place, up till the 25th instant.
The Board do not bind themselves to accept the lowest or any of the tenders.

WAKARI DISTRICT ROAD RATE.
Notice is hereby given to the Ratepayers in the Wakari Road District, that the rate for the present year is now payable to the undersigned, at his house, Sunnyside.

WANTED
Information about William McCallum, an Engineer, belonging to Leith; came to Otago in the ship “Melbourne” in March, 1861, and went to Otago Diggings—supposed to Hamilton. Any intelligence regarding him will be received by the Immigration Agent for transmission to his mother in Leith.
NORTH EAST VALLEY ROAD DISTRICT.
Notice is hereby given that a memorial from Settlers in Upper Harbour West District was laid before the General Road Board, at the last monthly meeting, asking for the formation of a new Road District, to be called the Havant Road District, which said new Road District is proposed to be comprised within the following boundaries, viz.—commencing at the southern angle of Section 10, Upper Harbour West, Survey District, and bounded on the north and west by the said Section 10, and by Sections 4, 37, 39, 32, 31, 27, 28, 29, 30, and portion of 50, Block 9, North Harbour and Blueskin, to the Dunedin Town Belt. Thence, by the Dunedin Town Belt to Pelichet Bay; thence on the south and south-east, by the coast line of Upper Harbour to the Starting Point, at the southern angle of Section 10, Upper Harbour, west.
And notice is hereby further given that the General Road Board will, at a meeting to be held at Dunedin, on Thursday, 2nd May, 1867, at 11 o’clock, proceed to consider such application, and hear objections (if any), to the granting of same.

NOTICE TO AGRICULTURISTS.
The Provincial Government of Otago being desirous of promoting the growth of Irish, Dutch and Russian Flax, as affording a staple article of export; will be glad to receive communications from such parties throughout the various agricultural districts as may be inclined to undertake the cultivation of such flax.
The object of the Government is to afford in each district a practical illustration of the best mode of cultivating the plant, with which view it will provide the seed, furnish the necessary directions as to cropping, and aid to a moderate extent in any expenditure which the experiment may involve.
Communications to be addressed to His Honor the Superintendent.
GENERAL ROAD BOARD. — Notice.
The Monthly Meetings of the Board will be held on the first Thursday in every month, at 11 o’clock, instead of 12 as hitherto.
