CROMWELL TO QUEENSTOWN.—Tenders will
be received at the Office of the Secretary for
Public Works until Noon of Thursday, the 21st March,
for Contract No. 249, Formation of Road, Arrow Flat
to Hayes’ Lake.

Plans and specifications may be seen, and forms of
tender obtained, at the Office of the Engineer of Roads
and Works, Dunedin, and at the Warden’s Camp,
Queenstown.

Tenders to be indorsed, “Roads and Works Tender
for Contract, No. 242.”

The Government does not undertake to accept the
lowest or any tender.

DREDGING HARBOR.—Tenders will be received
at the Office of the Secretary for Public Works,
until noon of Monday the 18th March, for Contract
No. 234.—“Dredging Channel from end of Rattray
street Jetty.”

Plans and Specifications may be seen, and forms of
tender obtained, at the Office of the Engineer of Roads
and Works, Dunedin.

Tenders to be indorsed “Roads and Works Tender
for Contract No. 234.”

The Government does not undertake to accept the
lowest or any tender.

The time for receiving Tenders for “Training Walls,
&c.,” is postponed to the same date.

1867, for Contract No. 234: Constructing Training
Walls and Dredging Channel, Rattray Street Jetty.

Works, Dunedin.

Tenders to be endorsed, “Roads and Works, Tender
for Contract No. 234.”

The Government does not undertake to accept the
lowest or any tender.

CROWN LANDS.—LEASES OF PASTORAL
LANDS.—NOTICE.—The attention of Holders
of Depasturing Licenses in the Province of Otago, is
requested to the 69th section of the Otago Waste Lands
Act, 1866, which provides that unless notice of inten-
tion to surrender the license be given within six months
after the passing of the Act, they will be peremptorily
excluded from receiving a Lease under the Act. The
Act was assented to on the 8th of October last, conse-
quently no notice can be received after the 8th of April
next.

NOTICE.—SALE OF CROWN LANDS.—Some
misapprehension existing with reference to the
terms of the Waste Lands Act, 1866, as to the pay-
ment of purchase money on the Sale of Rural Lands
by auction, intending purchasers at the sale, which
commences on March 26, 1867, are informed that one-
tenth of the purchase money must be paid at the time
of sale, and the remaining nine-tenths within one month,
or the deposit will be forfeited.

INCH CLUTHA DISTRICT ROAD RATE.—The
Precept having been issued for the collection of
the above Rate, notice is hereby given that same must
be paid to Mr. William Alfred Mosley, the Collector
thereof, at his house, within said district, on or before
the 1st day of April 1867.

REGISTRATION FORMS may be obtained gratis
from any of the Registration Officers or Wardens
in the Province. The claims must be lodged with the
respective Registration Officers before the end of March,
1867.

WANTED, information about Job and Zacharias
Curnow, belonging to Gwithian, near Hayle,
Cornwall, who arrived in Melbourne per ship “Norfolk,”
in 1861, and soon after proceeded to the Otago Gold
Fields. Any intelligence regarding the above-mentioned
persons will be received by the Immigration
Agent, Dunedin, for transmission to their friends in
Britain.

PUBLIC CIRCULATING LIBRARIES.—A Supply
of Books for the Otago Public Libraries is
expected shortly to arrive by the ship “City of Dunedin.”
Library Committees will obtain further informa-
