ment, except any such improvements shall be of a special character, and shall have been specially authorised or sanctioned by the Superintendent.
- Roads.
The Superintendent reserves the right to make roads and tracks through any and all of the aforesaid runs, without compensation.
- Cancellation of Licenses.
Any depasturing license purchased and granted under these Regulations will be liable to forfeiture and cancellation without compensation at the pleasure of the Superintendent, if any of the aforesaid Regulations is infringed or violated, or if any bill given in payment of the premium is not paid when it falls due.
- Excepting certain portions of Runs numbered 16 and 18.
Notwithstanding anything in these Regulations contained or expressed, no compensation will be allowed or paid on account of the granting of agricultural leases upon Block I, South Wakatipu District, containing 931 acres, more or less, situated within the boundaries of runs numbered 16 and 18; but the licensee shall be entitled to depasture cattle upon lands comprised within the said blocks prior to the issue of such agricultural leases.
NOTICE.—Crown Grants for the Land, and in favor of the persons aftermentioned, are now ready for issue; and attention is directed to the following clauses of the "Crown Grants Act, 1866," passed during the last Session of the General Assembly, which came into operation on the 8th October last:—
Clause XXXIX.—There shall be paid upon all grants to be hereafter issued, which may be left in the charge or custody of any Commissioner of Crown Lands, or other officer charged with the delivery of the same, a fee of sixpence for every month during which they shall have been so left after the expiration of three months from the date of the notice in the Gazette of the Province wherein the lands are situate, that such Grants are ready for delivery.
Clause XL.—There shall be paid upon all Grants issued prior to the passing of this Act, and left as aforesaid in the custody of the officer charged with the delivery thereof, a fee of sixpence per month for every month during which they shall be so left, after two months, subsequent to the passing of this Act.
