ABSTRACT FROM ADVERTISEMENT SHEETS—
21st February, Thursday, noon, Meeting of Education Board.
21st February, Thursday, last day for inspecting Merton Road Board Assessment Roll, at Mr. Brunton’s.
5th March, Tuesday, last day for paying Hawksbury Road Rate, at Mr. Richard Fry’s house.
7th March, Thursday, noon, Meeting of the General Road Board.
7th March, Thursday, noon, Merton Road Board will apply to General Road Board for power to levy a rate of 3d per acre.
£500 will be paid for conviction of the person who set fire to Stacks in Taieri District, on 9th or 10th May last.

NOTICE.
Whereas it is intended to stop up those Roads and portions of Roads referred to in the “Roads Diversion Ordinance, 1866,” situate in the Awamoa Road District, and which are hereinafter described, and are delineated on the map or plan mentioned and referred to in the “Roads Diversion Ordinance, 1866,” a copy of which plan has been deposited in the Public School at Oamaru, in the said District,
Now therefore I, Thomas Dick, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, by virtue and in exercise of the power vested in me in that behalf by the “Roads Diversion Ordinance, 1866,” do hereby give notice that all persons objecting to the stopping up of such Roads, or portions of Roads, or any of them, are required to set forth a statement in writing of any well-grounded objections they may have to the stopping up such Roads, or portions of Roads, and to leave such statement addressed to me, at my office in Dunedin, within sixty days of the date hereof, otherwise such objections will not be considered by me.

One hundred and fifty-three chains in length, sixty links wide, from south-west angle of section eight, block four, Oamaru Survey District, to south-east angle of section forty-six, said block. THE following Draft Deed of Investment of the Town Belt and other property in the Corporation of the City of Dunedin is published for general information.

This Deed, made the day of one thousand eight hundred and sixty-seven, between Thomas Dick, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago of the one part, and the Corporation of the City of Dunedin of the other part Whereas by the “Dunedin Reserves Management Ordinance, 1865,” the Superintendent of the Province of Otago is authorised to vest the management of the lands and hereditaments described in the Schedule thereto annexed, in the said Corporation and its successors, as a corporate body, in trust for purposes of public recreation for the Town of Dunedin and its inhabitants, and to carry out and secure the due maintenance and fulfilment of the several purposes for which such lands respectively have been reserved Now this Deed witnesseth that in pursuance of the said authority so given to the Superintendent of the Province of Otago by the said Ordinance, he, the said Thomas Dick, as such Superintendent as aforesaid, hath vested, and by these presents doth vest and as from the third day of May...
