BOUNDARIES of LICENSING DISTRICTS
under the Licensing Ordinance, 1865, proclaimed
in last week’s Gazette:—

1. Clyde Licensing District shall, for the purposes
   of the said Ordinance, comprise the townships of Alexandra and Clyde, and all that area bounded by a line
   proceeding from South Roughridge Hill to Cairn Hill;
   thence over the Obelisk to a point due south of the
   Carrick Mountains; thence to and along the Carrick
   Mountains to the Kawarau River; thence along the
   Kawarau River in an easterly direction to Bannockburn
   at its junction; thence to and along the northern
   boundary of Run numbered 325 to the Clutha River;
   thence along the Clutha River to Leaning Rock Creek;
   thence by Leaning Rock Creek to Leaning Rock Hill;
   thence to Chattoburn at its source, and by Chattoburn
   to the Manuherikia River; and thence in a direct line
   to South Roughridge Hill, the starting point.

2. Queenstown Licensing District shall, for the purposes
   of the said Ordinance, comprise the townships of
   Kingston, Queenstown, and Frankton, and all that area
   bounded on the south-western corner of Run 193 by
   the Province of Southland to Eyre Peak; thence by
   the western and northern watersheds of the Wakatip
   Lake to Fox Peak; thence by the eastern watershed of
   the Shotover River to the Kawarau River; thence by
   the Kawarau River to the western boundary of the
   Clyde Licensing District; thence by the said western
   boundary of Clyde Licensing District to the Garvie
   Mountains; thence to Remarkable Gap; thence by the
   ranges to the Wakaia River; thence by Wakaia River
   and White Coombe Creek to White Coombe; thence
   by the Umbrella Mountains to the Black Umbrella
   Mountain; thence by the eastern boundaries of Runs
   numbered 254 and 193, and the southern boundary of
   Run 193, to the starting point.

3. Oamaru Licensing District shall, for the purposes
   of the said Ordinance, comprise all that area bounded
   towards the north by a line proceeding from Mount
   Ida along the west branch of the Otamatakau Stream
   to the Waitaki River; towards the east by the Province
   of Canterbury; towards the south by the Ocean; and
   towards the west by the Horse Ranges and Kakanui
   Mountains to Kyeburn Hill; thence by the ranges to
   Mount Ida, the starting point.

4. Waikouaiti Licensing District shall, for the purposes
   of the said Ordinance, comprise all that area
   bounded towards the south by a line proceeding from
   Brinn’s Point due west to the Silver Peak Hills; thence
   proceeding in a northerly direction to the ranges north
   of Deepdell Creek; thence in a north-easterly direction
   to Highlay Hill; thence due east to the Oamaru Licensing
   District; thence by the western boundary of the
   said Oamaru Licensing District to the Ocean, and by
   the Ocean to the starting point.

5. Dunedin Licensing District shall, for the purposes
   of the said Ordinance, comprise all that area bounded
   towards the north by Waikouaiti and Port Chalmers
   Licensing Districts; towards the east by the Port Chalmers Licensing District and the Ocean; towards the
   south by the Ocean; and towards the west by the
   Taieri River and the boundary of the Gold Fields.

6. Port Chalmers Licensing District shall, for the
   purposes of the said Ordinance, comprise all that area
   including the Town of Port Chalmers, the Lower Harbour West Survey District, the Sawyer’s Bay Survey
   District, Sections numbered 88 to 115 inclusive, North-
   east Valley Survey District, and Blocks 4, 5, 6, and
   part of 7, North Harbour and Blueskin Survey District:
   bounded from the north-west corner of Block 4, North
   Harbour and Blueskin Survey District in a southerly
   direction by the western boundary line of the said Block
   4, to the northern boundary line of Block 6, North
   Harbour and Blueskin Survey District; thence by the
   said northern boundary line of the said Block 6, and
   the northern boundary line of Block 7, North Harbour
   and Blueskin Survey District, to the Main North Road;
   thence by the Main North Road to the northern boundary line of the North-east Valley Survey District;
   thence in a westerly direction by the said northern
   boundary line of the North-east Valley District to a
   road line between Sections 87 and 89 of the said district; thence by the said road line continued between
   Sections 85 and 88, North-east Valley District, to the
   northern boundary line of Block 9, North Harbour and
   Blueskin Survey District; thence in an easterly direction by the said northern boundary line of the said
   Block 9, to the north-west corner of Section 33, Sawyer’s
   Bay Survey District; thence in a south-easterly
   direction by the boundary line of the said Sawyer’s Bay
   Survey District to Otago Harbour; and thence by high-
   water mark to the starting point.

7. Taieri Licensing District shall, for the purposes
   of this Ordinance, comprise all that area bounded
   towards the north by a line proceeding from the western
   watershed of the Upper Taieri River due east through
   Rock and Pillar Mountain to the Waikouaiti Licensing
   District; towards the east by the Waikouaiti and Dunedin Licensing Districts; towards the south by the
   Taieri River, Waipori Lake, and Meggat Burn to the
   boundary of the Hundreds; thence towards the west by
   the Lawrence and Mount Benger Licensing Districts.

8. Toko Mairiro Licensing District shall, for the purposes of the said Ordinance, comprise all that area
   bounded towards the west by the Clutha Licensing
   District; towards the north by the Lawrence and Taieri
   Licensing Districts; and towards the east and south
   by the Dunedin Licensing District and the Ocean.

9. Clutha Licensing District shall, for the purposes
   of the said Ordinance, comprise all that area bounded
   towards the north by the Queenstown and Mount Benger Districts; towards the east by the Lawrence Licensing District, Lovell’s Creek, the Tuakitoto Lake, Kaitangata Lake and Creek, and the Clutha River; towards
   the south by the Ocean; and towards the west by the
   Province of Southland.

10. Naseby Licensing District shall, for the purposes
    of the said Ordinance, comprise all that area
    bounded towards the north and east by the Oamaru
    Licensing District; towards the south by the Waikouaiti and Taieri Licensing Districts; towards the west
    by the Mount Benger Licensing District to South
    Roughridge Hill; thence by the Roughridge to Mount
    Ida.

11. Lawrence Licensing District shall, for the purposes of the said Ordinance, comprise all that area
    bounded by a line proceeding from the Clutha River
    along Fruid Burn to the Lammerlaw; thence by the
    eastern watershed of the Waipori River to the boundary
    of the Hundreds; thence by the boundary of the Gold
    Field to a point due east of Spylaw Burn; and thence
    in an easterly direction in a direct line to Fruid Burn
    at its junction with the Clutha River.

12. St. Bathans Licensing District shall, for the
    purposes of the said Ordinance, comprise all that area
    bounded by a line proceeding from Mount St. Bathan’s
    due east to the Hawkdun Mountains; thence along the
    Hawkdun Mountains to Mount Ida; thence along the
    western boundary of the Naseby Licensing District to
    South Roughridge Hill; thence in a north-westerly
    direction along the boundary of Clyde Licensing District to the Dunstan Mountains; thence in a north-
    easterly direction along the Dunstan Mountains to
    Mount St. Bathan’s, the starting point.

13. Mount Benger Licensing District shall, for the
    purposes of the said Ordinance, comprise all that area
    bounded towards the north by the Clyde Licensing
    District; towards the east by the ranges from South
    Roughridge Hill to the Lammerlaw; towards the south
    by the Lawrence Licensing District, the Spylaw Burn,
    and Parasal Creek; and towards the east by the
    Queenstown Licensing District.

14. Cromwell Licensing District shall, for the purposes of the said Ordinance, comprise all that area
    bounded towards the north by the Province of Canterbury; towards the east by the Province of Canterbury
    and the Oamaru Licensing District; towards the south
    by the Clyde and St. Bathans Licensing Districts; and
