THE BANKRUPTCY ACT, 1861.

ROBERT SEWALLIS WAYNE, now of Great Malvern, in the county of Worcester, late of Carey Parade and Torwood Gardens, Torquay, in the county of Devon, England (where he has resided for the longest period during the last six months preceding the adjudication), previously of Stoneburn Station, Otago, New Zealand, Sheep Farmer, but now out of business, having been adjudged a Bankrupt under a Petition for Adjudication of Bankruptcy, filed in Her Majesty’s Court of Bankruptcy for the Exeter District, on the 23rd day of July, 1866, a Public Sitting for the said Bankrupt to pass his last examination and make application for his discharge, will be held before Biggs Andrews, Esquire, the Commissioner of the said Court, on Monday the 1st day of October next, at twelve of the clock at noon precisely, at Queen-street, Exeter, England, the day last aforesaid being the day limited for the said Bankrupt to surrender. At this sitting an Adjournment will be asked for to give time for Creditors to prove their debts.

The First Meeting of Creditors has been duly held, and at the Public Sitting above-mentioned proofs of debts of Creditors who have not proved will be received; and the Bankrupt will be required to surrender himself to the said Court, and to submit himself to be examined, and to make a full disclosure and discovery of all his estate and effects, and to finish his examination.

Notice is hereby also given to all Persons indebted to the said Bankrupt, or that have any of his effects, not to deliver the same but to Mr Theophilus Carrick, Queen-street, Exeter, Official Assignee, whom the Court has appointed, and give notice to Mr E. B. Randall, of 3 Gray’s Inn Place, London, the Solicitor in the Bankruptcy, or his agent, Mr Pitts, solicitor, of Exeter.

THE following Bye-law and Regulation for the Port of Dunedin, approved of by the Governor in Council, is published for general information.

Bye-law and Regulation made and published by His Honor Thomas Dick, Esq., Superintendent of the Province of Otago, in the Colony of New Zealand, and by the Marine Board of New Zealand for the Port of Dunedin, under the powers in that behalf conferred on them by “The Marine Board Act 1863,” repealing Bye-law No. 20 of the Bye-laws and Regulations for the Port of Dunedin, made and published in the New Zealand Gazette of 8th June last, and substituting a new Bye-law in lieu thereof.

  1. Licensed Boatmen shall be entitled to demand one shilling for the first quarter of a mile and six-pence for every additional quarter (irrespective of the number of passengers) according to the distance they may be required to go from or to any jetty or landing-place in the Harbor of Otago, and any jetty place or anchorage within said Harbor.

I, Thomas Dick, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, by virtue of all powers in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby repeal Clause 20 of the Bye-laws and Regulations for the Port of Dunedin, made and published in the New Zealand Gazette, of eighth day of June last, and do hereby make and publish in lieu thereof the foregoing Bye-law and Regulation for the Port of Dunedin.

The Marine Board of New Zealand in virtue of all the powers in anywise the Board in this behalf enabling doth hereby also make and publish the foregoing Bye-law and Regulation.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Marine Board of New Zealand having ceased to exist, the duties hitherto discharged by the Board have devolved upon JAMES MELVILLE BALFOUR, Esq., Marine Engineer for the Colony of New Zealand.
