Greatest pressure observed for the year, was 30.402, on the 14th February, and on the 9th of July; and the least, on 17th May, being 28.826; the extreme range for the year being 1.576 inches.
NOTE.—The barometrical readings are corrected for index error, capillary action, and reduced to 32° Fah., and sea level.
The thermometers are corrected for index errors, ascertained by comparison with a standard from Kew.
The temperature of the dew point, the elastic force of vapour, and degree of humidity, are computed from the simultaneous observations of the dry and wet bulb thermometers.
The observations from January to June, were taken by Mr. R. B. Gore. The self-registering instruments are taken at 9.30 a.m.
