Bankruptcy Notices and Mining Company Registrations




Zealand, Otago and Southland District, praying that his Estate might be placed under Sequestration, for the benefit of his Creditors, and that he might be discharged from custody and have relief, according to the provisions of the said Acts; and the said Henry Hawson also made Affidavit of such facts as have satisfied me of the truth of the matters contained in the said Petition: And whereas it is expedient that the Estate of the said Henry Hawson should be placed under Sequestration in the hands of James Alfred Webb, of Dunedin, Accountant, as Interim Sequestrator; and the said James Alfred Webb, and William Edmondson of the Crown Hotel, Rattray-street, Dunedin, Hotel-keeper, and John Gardner, of Rattray-street, Dunedin, aforesaid, Butcher, as his Sureties, have, with my sanction, entered into a Bond in the sum of Two hundred Pounds, conditioned, for the due care and custody of the said Estate and Effects: Now therefore, I do order and direct that the estate and effects of the said Henry Hawson, be, and the same are hereby accordingly placed under sequestration, in the hands of the said James Alfred Webb, and that the same shall be taken and held by him until the further order of this Court: And I do further declare, order, and direct that this order shall be and be deemed to be a vesting order.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the Petition of the said Henry Hawson, entitled in the above matters, has been accepted by His Honor Mr. Justice Chapman; and that the said Judge has appointed Monday, the nineteenth day of March next, for the hearing of the said Petition.
