LIST of Educational Districts in the Province of
Otago:—

1.—DUNEDIN DISTRICT
comprises all that area known as the Town and Town
Belt of Dunedin, the boundaries whereof are delineated
on the "Index Map of the Otago Settlement," No.
80, deposited in the Survey Office of the Province of
Otago, at Dunedin aforesaid; together with that area
of land in the Province of Otago adjacent and opposite
to the City of Dunedin, formerly below high water
mark in the Harbor of Otago, but now reclaimed or
in course of reclamation from the sea, and declared by
the Otago Harbor Trust Leasing Ordinance, 1862,
to be included within the City of Dunedin, as the said
area and boundaries thereof are delineated or shown in
the "Crown Grant Index Record Map of the Subur-
ban Districts, Central, No. 2," deposited in the Survey
Office of the said Province, at Dunedin aforesaid.

2.—PORT CHALMERS DISTRICT
comprises all that area known as the Town and Town
Belt of Port Chalmers, the boundaries whereof are
delineated in the Record Map of the said Town and
Town Belt, deposited in the Survey Office of the Pro-
vince of Otago, at Dunedin.

3.—PORTOBELLO DISTRICT
comprises all that area which is bounded on the north
by Otago Harbor; on the east by the Native
Reserve; on the south by the Ocean; and on
the west by that road line delineated in the Survey
Maps of blocks II and III, Otago Peninsula District,
which extends from Seal Point to the north-west
corner of block VII, Portobello Bay Survey District;
thence by the western boundary of Neil Bell's section,
and the southern boundary of Thomas Anderson's
purchase, to the beach near Grassy Point.

4.—NORTH-EAST HARBOR DISTRICT
comprises all that area which is bounded on the north
by Otago Harbor; on the east by Portobello Educa-
tional District; on the south by the Ocean; and on
the west by the Tomahawk Survey District, the line
dividing sections 44 and 45 Upper Harbor East Survey
District, and thence by the same line produced to meet
section 41, block III, Tomahawk Survey District.

5.—ANDERSON'S BAY DISTRICT
comprises all that area which is bounded on the north
by Dunedin Educational District and Otago Harbor;
on the east by North-East Harbor Educational District;
on the south by the ocean; and on the west by that
road line running direct from the corner of Dunedin
Town Belt, near Hillside, to the ocean beach.

6.—NORTH-EAST VALLEY DISTRICT
comprises all that area which is bounded on the north-
east by section 42, block VII, North Harbor and
Blueskin Survey District, by sections 83 and 84, North-
East Valley Survey District, by sections 33 and 34,
North Harbor and Blueskin Survey District; on the
south-east by sections 5 to 26 inclusive, North Harbor
and Blueskin Survey District; on the south by sections
61, 60, 59, 58, 57, 56, 55, 54, 53, 58, 51, North
Harbor and Blueskin, thence by Dunedin Town Belt;
and on the north-west by sections 2, 3, 6, 7, 8, 9, 12,
13, thence by a direct line through sections 16 and 18,
block X, thence by sections 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, and
16, block XI, North Harbor and Blueskin Survey
District, thence by part of block VIII, same district.

7.—WAKARI DISTRICT
comprises all that area which is bounded on the north
by the northern boundary of block V, Dunedin and
East Taieri Survey Districts; on the east by the water
of Leith, Dunedin Town Belt, and part of block IX,
Dunedin and East Taieri District; on the south by
section 86, block VI, Town Survey District, thence by
a direct line through block IX, Dunedin and East

Taieri Survey District, and by section 16, Lower Kai-
korai Survey District, and part of block VI, Dunedin
and East Taieri Survey District; and on the west
by blocks VI and IV, Dunedin and East Taieri Sur-
vey Districts.

8.—MORNINGTON DISTRICT
comprises all that area which is bounded on the north
by the Bush Reserve adjoining sections 48 and 49,
block VI, Dunedin and East Taieri District, and by
Wakari Educational District; on the east by Dunedin
Town Belt; on the south by sections 3 to 11, inclusive,
and by sections 18, 19, 22, 23, 26, 27, 30, 31, 33, 34,
37, 38, 41, 42, and 45, block VI, Town Survey Dis-
trict; thence by section 45, Lower Kaikorai Survey
District; thence by section 44, block VI, Dunedin and
East Taieri Survey District; and on the west by ap-
plication 1090, section 46, and the Bush Reserve
aforesaid, block VI, Dunedin and East Taieri District.

9.—CAVERSHAM DISTRICT
comprises all that area which is bounded on the
north by Mornington Educational District and Dune-
din Town Belt; on the east by Dunedin Town Belt
and Anderson's Bay Educational District; on the
south by the ocean; on the south-west by the south-
western boundaries of sections 37, 38, 39, 49, 68, 87,
Ocean Beach Survey District; thence by a straight
line to the southern corner of section 37, Lower Kai-
korai Survey District, and by the south-western boun-
daries of sections 37 and 47, Lower Kaikorai Survey
District; and on the north-west by section 44, block
VI, Dunedin and East Taieri Survey District.

10.—GREEN ISLAND DISTRICT
comprises all that area which is bounded on the north
by sections 19, 11, Bush Reserve, section 9 and 2 ot
2, block VII, Dunedin and East Taieri Survey Dis-
trict; thence by the road line forming the north-western
or northern boundaries of sections 30 to 35, block VI,
Dunedin and East Taieri District; on the north-east
and east by sections 36, 48, 47, and 45, block VI,
Dunedin and East Taieri District, and by Caversham
Educational District; on the south by the ocean; and
on the west by the Kaikorai Stream from its mouth to
the south-east corner of section 67; thence by the
same and by sections 68, 70, 69, block VII, Dunedin
and East Taieri Survey District; thence by sections
32 and 22, Foundation Survey; thence by sections 23
and 24, block VII, Dunedin and East Taieri Survey
District.

11.—EAST TAIERI DISTRICT
comprises all that area which is bounded on the north
by the road line forming the northern boundaries of
blocks V, VI, VII, and VIII, East Taieri Survey
District extended to the Taieri River; on the east by
the eastern boundaries of blocks V and I, East Taieri
Survey District; thence by section 15, block VI,
Dunedin and East Taieri Survey District; thence in a
direct line to the northern corner of section 7, block
VII, Dunedin and East Taieri Survey District; thence
by the road line to the northern corner of section 11,
block VII, Dunedin and East Taieri Survey District;
thence by the eastern boundary of said section;
thence by Green Island Educational District; on the
south by the Main Trunk Road to the corner of
section 36, block VII, Dunedin and East Taieri Survey
District; thence by the district road line which passes
along the front of Saddle Hill and Scrogg's Hill to
block II, Otokia Survey District; and on the west
by block II, Otokia Survey District, the Township of
Greytown, and the Taieri River.

12.—SADDLE HILL DISTRICT
comprises all that area which is bounded on the north
by East Taieri Educational District; on the east by
Green Island Educational District; on the south by
the ocean; and on the west by blocks II and III, set
Otokia Survey District.
