APPOINTMENT TO BE MADE.
AN OVERSEER at H.M.’s Gaol, used to Quarrying and Blasting operations. Apply in writing by noon of 27th April current to the Provincial Secretary.
LOWER TAIERI FERRY HOUSE TO LET.
TENDERS will be received from parties willing to Lease, until the end of 1865, the House known by the name of the Lower Taieri Ferry House. Tenders to be lodged at the Provincial Secretary’s Office by noon of Friday, 5th May, 1865. Further particulars may be had at the Provincial Secretary’s Office. The Government will not bind itself to accept the highest or any tender. The Government reserves all claims competent against the present lessee.

Contract, No. 118, Dunedin to Waikouaiti.
Do. No. 119, Saddle Hill to East Taieri.
Do. No. 120, Taieri Ferry to Tokomairiro.
SEPARATE Tenders will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Public Works, until noon of Monday, the 1st of May proximo, for Contract, No. 118, supply of 700 cubic yards of road metal, between the Water of Leith Toll Bar and the 7th Mile Post on the Main North Road. Tenders to be endorsed "Roads and Works, Tender for Contract, No. 118."
Contract, No. 119, Supply of one thousand cubic yards of road metal, between the Saddle Hill Toll Bar and the metalled portion of the road Saddle Hill to West Taieri. Tenders to be endorsed "Roads and Works, Tender for Contract, No. 119."
Contract, No. 120, Supply of seventeen hundred cubic yards of road metal between the North and South Bridges over the Tokomairiro River and the Main South Road. Tenders to be endorsed "Roads and Works, Tender for Contract, No. 120."
Specifications may be seen and forms of Tender obtained at the Office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin.
The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

WEST TAIERI EDUCATIONAL DISTRICT.
NOTICE is hereby given, that in consequence of the unqualified Electors of West Taieri Educational District having failed to elect a School Committee, upon the annual election day in October, 1864, His Honor the Superintendent, in pursuance of the provisions of the "Education Ordinance, 1864," has been pleased to fix Friday, the 26th day of May, 1865, for the election of a new School Committee for the said Educational District of West Taieri, within the School-house, at 7 o’clock p.m.

TUAKITOTO DISTRICT ROAD BOARD.
MEETING FOR ELECTION OF DISTRICT BOARD OF ROAD TRUSTEES. -- The Ratepayers in the Tuakitoto Road District having failed to attend the meeting for the election of District Road Trustees, called by advertisement in the Government Advertising Sheet for 8th March, 1865, notice is hereby given that a Meeting for the above purpose will be held at the house of Mr. Peter Cunninghame, within the said district, on Tuesday, the 25th day of April, at 1 o’clock p.m.
Special attention is directed to the 7th and 9th sections of the "Roads Ordinance, 1856," regulating the proceedings for the Election of District Road Trustees.
