In terms of the 60th Clause of the "Waste Land Regulations," I hereby call Meetings of the persons whose names appear in the above lists, to elect from amongst themselves persons to act as Wardens in the above Hundreds; places and times of Meeting and number of Wardens to be elected as under, viz, :-
At the Kilmog Accommodation House, on Monday, the 10th day of April next, at 12 o’clock noon, to elect Three Wardens for the Waikouaiti Hundred.
At the Court House, Hawksbury, on Tuesday, the 11th day of April next, at 3 o’clock p.m., to elect Three Wardens for the Hawksbury Hundred.

M’LANDRESS, HEPBURN AND CO. have been instructed by the Provincial Government to sell by auction, at their Rooms, Manse-street, on Wednesday, 12th April, at 12 o’clock, the right and occupation of
RUN No. 4,
containing 8000 acres, situated between the Round Hill and the West Branch of the Tokomairiro River, lately occupied by Thos. Murray, Esq.
The term of occupation is for one year, commencing on the 15th day of April, 1865, and so on from year to year, determined on as mentioned in conditions of sale.

ELECTION NOTICE.
Electoral District of Matau.
IN pursuance of the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand intituled "The Regulation of Elections Act, 1858," I, Alexander Grigor, Returning Officer for the Electoral District of Matau, do hereby give notice that, by virtue of a writ bearing date the twenty-seventh day of March 1865, issued under the hand of His Honor the Superintendent of the Province of Otago, an Election will be held for the return of a legally qualified person to serve as a Member of the Provincial Council for the said Electoral District, in place of William Henning Mansford, Esquire, resigned, during the remainder of the term of the continuance of said Council, and no longer; and that the nomination of candidates will take place at the Schoolhouse, Inch Clutha, at 12 o’clock noon, on Wednesday, the 12th day of April, 1865; and that the poll (if necessary) will be taken on Thursday, the 13th day of April, 1865.

NOTICE to the Ratepayers of Green Island Educational District.—For the convenience of those who have not yet paid their rate for the year 1865, the Collector will attend at the School House, on the 14th inst., between the hours of 4 and 7 p.m. The provisions of the Ordinance will thereafter be enforced for the recovery of all unpaid rates.

12 to 23 insertions inclusive, 2s. 6d. per inch per insertion.
24 to 35 insertions inclusive, 2s. 3d. per inch per insertion.
36 insertions and upwards, 2s. per inch per insertion.
Advertisements, to ensure insertions, must be left with the Publisher not later than 2 o’clock on the day previous to publication; but short advertisements will be received up till 4 o’clock.
Any person desirous of obtaining the Advertising Sheet, will please leave his address at the Superintendent’s Office. No charge will be made for the said Sheet, or for the delivery thereof. Any irregularity in the receipt of the Advertising Sheet should be reported at once to the Provincial Secretary.
