SCHEDULE—RULES AND REGULATIONS.

The Landing Steps at all Jetties shall be open to the public, and no charge shall be made for watermen’s boats plying to and from said Landing-places.

The Jetty Dues shall be at the following rates, on all goods shipped or landed:—
Coals
Bricks
Lime
Wooden Posts and Rails 6d. per ten of 40 ft., or 20 cwt.
Salt
Sawn Timber
Stone
Firewood, 1s. per cord; Wool, 6d. per bale; Horses, 1s.; Cattle, 9d.; Sheep, 1d.; Pigs, 2d. per head; Immigrants and Passengers’ Luggage free; all other goods at the rate of 1s. per ton. Vessels under 40 tons register shall be allowed four, and vessels above that tonnage shall be allowed, six working days to load and unload at the Jetties, as the case may be; and any vessel remaining longer at any Jetty shall be charged one penny per registered ton per day.The dues shall be paid by the master or owner of the vessel, or boat on board which the goods are shipped before loading, if required, or from which the goods are landed, before unloading, if required.
The Jetty Keepers are authorised to prevent goods being brought on to, or removed from, the Jetties until the dues payable on such goods have been paid.

The Shed on the New Jetty, Jetty Street, Dunedin, will be at all times available for passengers’ and immigrants’ luggage. The charge for receiving, including delivery, of luggage and goods will be at the rate of not more than 2s. 6d. per ton; and for storage at the rate of not more than 2s. per ton per week. No charge for storage will be made for immigrants’ luggage for the first 48 hours.

Water not to exceed the rate of 2s. 6d. per ton; but His Honor the Superintendent will not be in any way responsible for the continuance of the water supply.

HULK FOR SALE—BY TENDER.
TENDERS will be received at the Superintendent’s Office, Dunedin, until noon Friday, 7th April, 1865, from parties willing to purchase the Hulk “Thomas and Henry,” as she now lies at Port Chalmers.
The Government will not be bound to accept the highest or any of the tenders.

WAIPORI DISTRICT ROAD BOARD.
MEETING FOR ELECTION OF DISTRICT BOARD OF ROAD TRUSTEES.
The Ratepayers in the Waipori Road District having failed to attend the Meeting for the Election of District Road Trustees, called by advertisement in the Government Advertising Sheet for 8th March, 1865, notice is hereby given that a Meeting for the above purpose will be held in the School-house, Waipori, within the said district, on Wednesday, the 19th day of April, at 4 o’clock p.m.
Special attention is directed to the 7th and 9th sections of the “Roads Ordinance, 1856,” regulating the proceedings for the Election of District Road Trustees.

KAWARAU to FRANKTON
TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Public Works until noon of Monday, the 10th April, for Contract No. 117, entering Drives through and Blasting the Nevis Cliffs on the Road, Kawarau to Wakatipu.
Plans and Specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained, at the Office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin, and at the office of District Engineer, Cromwell.
Tenders to be endorsed “Roads and Works, Tender for Contract No. 117.”
The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.
