A SPECIAL MEETING of the Education Board will be held at the Government Offices, Dunedin, upon Thursday, the 30th day of March, 1865, at 12 o’clock noon, for the despatch of business. At this Meeting, the applications of the School Committees at Anderson’s Bay and Warepa, for permission to levy a Rate in their respective Districts, will be considered by the Board.

ELECTION NOTICE.

ELECTORAL DISTRICT OF BRUCE.

IN Pursuance of the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled, "The Regulation of Elections Act, 1858," I, John Dewe, Returning Officer for the Electoral District of Bruce, do hereby give notice, that by virtue of a Writ, bearing date the fourth day of March, 1865, issued under the hand of his Excellency the Governor of New Zealand, an Election will be held for the return of a qualified person to serve as a Member of the House of Representatives for the said Electoral District, and that the nomination of candidates will take place at Tokomairiro, at noon, Friday, the thirty-first day of March, 1865; and that the Poll (if necessary) will be taken on Saturday, the eighth day of April, 1865.

WEST TAIERI HUNDREDS.

NOTICE is hereby given to all Owners of Stock on the above Hundred, that in terms of Regulation 67 and Bye-law 6, they are required to furnish to the Wardens, before 15th April next, a Return showing the number, description, and brands of all animals above the age of six months depastured by them on the Hundred, under a penalty of £5 in case of failure or false return.

Likewise notice is hereby given, that after the 15th April next, all Cattle found on the Hundred, not under the charge of a License Holder, shall be impounded and dealt with as Law directs.
