A SPECIAL MEETING of the Education Board will be held at the Government Offices, Dunedin, upon Thursday, the 30th day of March, 1865, at 12 o’clock noon, for the despatch of business. At this Meeting, the applications of the School Committees of Anderson’s Bay and Warepa, for permission to levy a Rate in their respective Districts, will be considered by the Board.

ELECTION NOTICE.

ELECTORAL DISTRICT OF BRUCE.

IN PURSUANCE of the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled, “The Regulation of Elections Act, 1858,” I, John Dewe, Returning Officer for the Electoral District of Bruce, do hereby give notice, that by virtue of a Writ, bearing date the fourth day of March, 1865, issued under the hand of his Excellency the Governor of New Zealand, an Election will be held for the return of a qualified person to serve as a Member of the House of Representatives for the said Electoral District, and that the nomination of candidates will take place at Tokomairiro, at noon, Friday, the thirty-first day of March, 1865; and that the Poll (if necessary) will be taken on Saturday, the eighth day of April, 1865.

NOTICE is hereby given that applications for the sale of Sections in Blocks 1 and 2, Tuapeka District, will be received at the Gold Receiver’s Office, Lawrence, on Thursday, the 16th day of March next.

Applications for the sale of Sections in Blocks 1 and 2, Shotover District, will be received at the Gold Receiver’s Office, Queenstown, on Thursday, the 30th day of March next.

Maps showing the Sections open for application in the Blocks above specified may be seen at the offices of the Gold Receivers, in Lawrence, Clyde, and Queenstown.
