PROCLAMATION

Closing Roads in Caversham and Green Island District.

By His Honor, Thomas Dick, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.

I, THOMAS DICK, do, by virtue and in exercise of the powers vested in me in this behalf by the “Caversham and Green Island Road Lands Ordinance, 1864,” proclaim and declare that all those Roads, and all those portions of Roads, situate and being in the Caversham and Green Island Districts, in the Province of Otago, mentioned and referred to in the said “Caversham and Green Island Road Lands Ordinance, 1864,” and which are particularly described in the Schedule hereto, shall from and after the day of the date hereof cease to be public roads or thoroughfares, and shall no longer form part of the roads in the said Caversham and Green Island District.

Description of the Roads and Portions of Roads in the Corstorphine, Caversham, and Green Island Districts, declared to be closed.

1.—29 chains 50 links in length, 60 links wide, from New District Road on section 50, block VII, Town District, to New District Road, on application No. 12; bounded on the east by section 54, block VII, Town District, and application No. 12; on the west by sections 50, 51, 53, block VII, Town District, and application No. 12.

2.—21 chains in length, 60 links wide, from New District Road on section 50, block VII, Town District, to the Forbury Road; bounded on both sides by sections 50, 51, and 52, block VII, Town District.

3.—2 chains 25 links in length, 60 links wide, from the Forbury Road to New District Road, on section 50, block VII, Town District; bounded on both sides by section 49, block VII, Town District.

4.—62 chains in length, 60 links wide, from Southern Trunk Road at section 15, block VII, Town District, to the Forbury Road on section 49, block VII; bounded on the east by sections 14, 49, 43, 44, 45, Town District, and part of the Forbury Road; on the west by sections 15, 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47, 48, and 49, block VII, Town District.

5.—13 chains in length, 60 links wide, from the Forbury Road to section 12, Ocean Beach District; bounded on the north by section 45; south by section 46, block VII, Town District.

6.—15 chains in length, 60 links wide, from Southern Trunk Road to new District Road on section 17, Town District; bounded on the east by section 16, block VI, Town District; west by sections 17, block VI, Town District.

7.—4 chains 60 links wide, from the Forbury Road on section 13, Ocean Beach District; bounded on the north by section 45; south by sections 46, 47, block VII, Town District.

8.—57 chains in length, 60 links wide, from District Road on Section 70, Ocean Beach District, to District Road between Ocean Beach and Green Island Bush Districts; bounded on the north by sections 59, 60, 61, 62, 63, 64, 65, 66, 67, 68, 69, and 70; south by sections 47, 48, 49, 50, 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56, 57, and 58, Ocean Beach District.
