ORDER,
Revoking certain Rules and Regulations of the Otago Gold Fields.
WHEREAS it is expedient that the 20th Sub-Section of the fourth Rule and Regulation of the Otago Gold Fields, issued by me on the twenty-first day of October, 1864, under the public seal of the said Province, and published in the Government Gazette of the said Province, on the said twenty-first day of October, should be revoked and cancelled.
Now therefore I, John Hyde Harris, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, by virtue and in exercise of the powers delegated to and vested in me in this behalf, do hereby revoke the said 20th Sub-Section of the said Rule or Regulation, No. IV., issued by me on the said twenty-first day of October, 1864.
And whereas by the 2nd Sub-Section of the 5th of the said Rules and Regulations, it is provided that dams may be formed and puddling machines erected, upon such sites only as shall be approved by the Warden, and no such dam or machine shall be permitted to be placed in the centre of any Gully or Flat.
And whereas it is further expedient that so much of the said 2nd Sub-Section of the said fifth Regulation of the said Rules and Regulations, as provides that no such dam or machine shall be permitted to be placed in the centre of any Gully or Flat, should be revoked and cancelled.
Now therefore I, Superintendent as aforesaid, by virtue and in further exercise of the powers delegated to and vested in me in this behalf, do hereby revoke and cancel so much of the said second Sub-Section of the said Regulation No. V. as follows after the word “Warden,” that is to say the words “and no such dam shall be permitted to be placed in the centre of any Gully or Flat.”
Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Otago at Dunedin, this second day of May, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-five.

NOTICE.
To PETER ROBERTSON, Esquire, Lawrence, Tuapeka.
TAKE NOTICE: Whereas it is intended to sell the lands described in the Schedule hereunder written, situate in the South-Eastern District of the Province of Otago, now occupied by you under agreement with me dated the tenth day of May, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-four: Now therefore, I hereby give you notice that I desire, on the sixth day of August next, to withdraw and determine the permission to occupy the lands specified in the Schedule hereto, permission to occupy which was granted to you by me by the said Deed, and that I desire on such sixth day of August to put an end to the use and occupation by you of the whole of the lands described in the said Schedule.
This notice will be published in the Provincial Government Gazette on Wednesday, the third day of May current.

THE SCHEDULE ABOVE REFERRED TO.
All that Run or parcel of land containing seven thousand acres or thereabouts, be the same more or less, situated in the South-Eastern District in the Province of Otago and Colony of New Zealand, being lot or Run number two on the plan of sale exhibited by the auctioneers on the sale of (inter alia) the said Run on the fifth day of April one thousand eight hundred and sixty-four, bounded on or towards the north-east partly by a Government road leading from the township of Havelock to the township of Lawrence, and partly by the south-east branch of the Waitahuna stream; on or towards the south by the said Waitahuna stream; on or towards the west by the south-west branch of the said Waitahuna stream; and on or towards the north by Run number fifty-three in the aforesaid District.

To THOMAS MURRAY, Esquire, Tokomairiro.
TAKE NOTICE: Whereas it is intended to sell the lands described in the Schedule hereunder written, situate in the South-Eastern District of the Province of Otago, now occupied by you under agreement with me dated the 10th day of May, 1864: Now therefore, I hereby give you notice that I desire, on the sixth day of August next, to withdraw and determine the permission to occupy the lands specified in the Schedule hereto, permission to occupy which was granted to you by me by the said Deed, and that I desire on such sixth day of August to put an end to the use and occupation by you of the whole of the lands described in the said Schedule.
This notice will be published in the Provincial Government Gazette on Wednesday, the third day of May current.

All that Run or parcel of land containing thirteen thousand eight hundred acres or thereabouts, be the same more or less, situated in the South-Eastern District in the Province of Otago and Colony of New Zealand, being lot or Run No. 3 on the plan of sale exhibited by the auctioneers on the sale of (inter alia) the lease of said Run, on the fifth day of April, 1864, bounded on or towards the north by the Waitahuna stream and part of the township of Havelock; on or towards the south-west by Run No. 94; on or towards the south-east by leasehold Run No. 3 A; and on or towards the east by a Government road.
