KAWARAU TO FRANKTON.

TENDERS will be received at the office of the
Secretary for Public Works until noon of Monday, the 23rd January, 1865, for constructing a portion of the Road through Rocky Cliff, near Arrow Junction.

Plans and Specifications may be seen and forms of tender obtained at the office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin, and at the District Engineer's office, Kawarau Junction, on and after Monday, the 9th January, 1865.

Tenders to be endorsed "Roads and Works, tender for Contract No. 115."

The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

Chandlery, Powder, Fuse, and Tentage (in accordance with conditions specified in Gazette, dated 7th December) for nine calendar months, from 1st April, 1865. Tenders to be lodged at the office of His Honor the Superintendent up to noon of 1st February, 1865.

UNSURVEYED WASTE LANDS OF THE
CROWN, PROVINCE OF OTAGO.

NOTICE is hereby given that the following Districts
have been triangulated. Applications for Unsurveyed Lands therein will be received at this Office on and after Wednesday, the 4th day of January, 1865. Forms of application may be obtained at this Office.

LIST OF TRIANGULATED DISTRICTS:—

Hawksbury
Waikouaiti
North Harbour and Blueskin comprises the lands between Dunedin and Waikouaiti.
Clarendon (Waihola)
Maungatua (West Taieri)

Hillend (between the Clutha and Mount Stuart)
Waitahuna East
Waitahuna West (between the Tuapeka and Waitahuna)

NOTICE.

REFERRING to the advertisement that Unsurveyed
Land, within triangulated Districts, will be open for application on the 4th January next, the public are requested to observe the following rules in making applications:—The applicant must apply for a form of application at the Land Office, which form he must take to the Survey Office, and obtain a sketch on the back showing the land he desires to purchase. The form filled up must then be immediately returned to the Land Office for registration.

No application will be received for a less quantity of land than fifty acres.

Situate between the Clutha and the Mataura, at
Waikawa Harbor, Bush Land.

BLOCK I, Waikawa District, will be sold at this
Office, by Public Auction, on Monday, the 16th day of January next, at 12 o'clock noon.—Haldane or others having claims for unsurveyed land within the Block, are requested to call and get such claims adjusted previous to the 16th day of January next, otherwise their claims will be dealt with under the 15th Clause of the Land Regulations, 1856.

SETTLERS within the various Hundreds may obtain
Depasturing Licenses as under:—
For Dunedin and East West Taieri, at the Land Office, Dunedin.
For Waihola and North and South Tokomairiro, at the Court House, Tokomairiro.
For East and West Clutha and Pomahaka, at the Court House, Balclutha. Clutha Ferry.
For Hawksbury and Waikouaiti, at the Court House, Hawksbury.
For Moeraki, Otepopo, and Oamaru, at the Court House, Oamaru.

IMPOUNDED on the 28th day of December, 1864
by Edward Downs, Ranger for the Dunedin Hundred, one Dark Strawberry Cow, branded B A off rump, and another brand like two short crooked walking sticks crossed on that one near rump; one Yellow Cow, branded L H near ribs, one White and Black and White Cow, no visible brand, Brown and White Heifer Calf at foot; one Poley Red and White Cow, no visible brands, Brown and White Heifer Calf at foot; one Black and White Heifer, no visible brands.
Owners unknown. For trespassing on the Dunedin Hundred, and in default of being released, the above cattle will be sold at the Public Pound at Blueskin on the 18th day of January 1865, at 12 o'clock noon.

IMPOUNDED on the 26th day of December, 1864,
by Mr. Flemming, one Red Cow and Calf
branded C H off rump, owner unknown. For trespassing on Janefield Farm, for which no damages are claimed, and in default of being released, the above cattle will be sold at the Public Pound, at East Taieri, on the 25th day of January, 1865, at 12 o'clock noon.
