OTAGO GOVERNMENT ADVERTISING SHEET.

SUPPLEMENT TO GAZETTE.

VOL. I. DUNEDIN, WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 4, 1865. No 23.


ABSTRACT FROM ADVERTISING SHEETS.

4th January. Two cows and a heifer to be sold at noon at South Dunedin Pound.

4th January (Wednesday). Section 1 of 27, Block 2, Clarendon District, will be open for sale. Any person claiming said Section or any part thereof, to call at Land Office before that date.

6th January, 1865 (Friday), noon. Horse to be sold at Port Chalmers Pound.

6th January (noon), Friday. Nomination of Candidates for Port Chalmers Town Board.

9th January (Monday), noon. A Mare in foal, a Brown Horse, a Black Horse, and an Iron Grey to be sold at East Taieri Pound.

10th January, 1865 (Tuesday). School Committee will be elected as under:β€”

At Anderson's Bay, within the School-house, at 7 o'clock p.m.

At Warepa, within the Church of Warepa, at 7 o'clock p.m.

At Saddlehill, within the School-house, at 7, o'clock p.m.

12th January (Thursday), noon. A Horse, a Dark Brown Mare, and a Black Filly, to be sold at South Dunedin Pound.

13th January (noon), Friday. A working bullock to be sold at Hampden Pound.

16th January (noon), Monday. Two mares to be sold at Hawkesbury Pound.

16th January. Block I, Wakawa, will be sold by auction at the Land Office, Dunedin. M. Haldane and others having claims for unsurveyed land, to call at the Land Office previous to that date.

16th January (Monday), noon. A grey mare and a bay mare, to be sold at Hawkesbury Pound.

18th January (noon), Wednesday. Three bullocks and one cow, to be sold at Caversham Pound.

TENDERS required for Burial of Paupers for the year 1865.

Tenders to be lodged at the office of His Honor the Superintendent up to noon 5th of January.

WAIKOUAITI TO WAIHEMO.

TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Public Works, until noon of Tuesday, the 10th January, 1865, for Contract No. 112, supply of 1500 cube yards of Metal, for a portion of the Road between Waikouaiti River and Pleasant River.

Specifications may be seen and forms of tender obtained at the Office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin. Tenders to be indorsed "Roads and Worksβ€”Tender for Contract No. 112."

The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

WAIKOUAITI TO WAIHEMO.

TENDERS will be received at the office of the Secretary for Public Works until noon of Tuesday, the 10th January, 1865, for Contract No. 113, Formation of a portion of Road passing through section No. 13, block 2, Hawksbury.

Plans and specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained, at the office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin. Tenders to be endorsed "Roads and Works Tender for Contract No. 113."

The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

CLUTHA POUND.

TENDERS will be received from parties willing to erect and maintain a Pound in a convenient place a the Clutha. There is no salary attached to the office, but the Government will return all the fees to the poundkeeper. Further information may be had at the Treasury, Dunedin. Tenders to be lodged at the Superintendent's office, Dunedin, by noon of Friday, 6th January, 1865.

CLYDE POUND.

TENDERS will be received from parties willing to erect and maintain a Pound near the Cemetery, in the Township of Clyde, Dunstan. There is no salary attached to the office, but the Government will return all the fees to the poundkeeper. Further information may be had at the Treasury, Dunedin, or from the Warden at Clyde. Tenders to be in the Superintendent's office, Dunedin, by noon of Friday, 13th January, 1865.

KAWARAU TO FRANKTON.

TENDERS will be received at the office of the Secretary for Public Works until noon of Monday, the 23rd January, 1865, for Contract No. 114, for constructing a portion of the Road through Rocky Cliff, near the Nevis Junction,

Plans and Specifications may be seen and forms of tender obtained at the office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin, and at the District Engineer's office, Kuwarau Junction, on and after Monday, the 9th January, 1865.

Tenders to be endorsed "Roads and Works, tender for Contract No. 114."

The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.
