PROCLAMATION

Of “East Taieri Bridge” to be a “Public Bridge,” under the “Bridge Ordinance, 1864.”

By the Honorable John Hyde Harris, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.

I, JOHN HYDE HARRIS, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, in exercise of the powers vested in me in this behalf, do proclaim and declare the Bridge over the Taieri River, known as the East Taieri Bridge, and situate near to the confluence of the River and Lake Branches on the Main South Road, to be a “Public Bridge,” within the meaning of the “Bridge Ordinance, 1864.”

Given under my hand at Dunedin, and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Otago, this twenty-eighth day of November, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-four.

I, JOHN HYDE HARRIS, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, in exercise of the powers vested in me in this behalf, do proclaim and declare the Bridge over the Taieri River, known as the West Taieri Bridge, and situate near the Township of Outram on the Dunedin and West Taieri Road, to be a “Public Bridge,” within the meaning of the “Bridge Ordinance, 1864.”

Given under my hand at Dunedin, and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Otago, this twenty-ninth day of November, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-four.

APPOINTMENT TO BE MADE.—A Clerk for the Police Department. Applications to be lodged with the Provincial Secretary, by Monday, the 5th December.

TENDERS required for Government Printing for the year 1865. Tenders to be lodged at the Office of His Honor the Superintendent, up to noon of the 6th proximo. Particulars to be had from the Provincial Storekeeper.

Dunedin, 29th November, 1864.

A SPECIAL MEETING of the Education Board will be held at the Government Offices, Dunedin, upon Monday, the 5th day of December, 1864, at 2 o’clock p.m., for the despatch of business.
