NOTICE.—Further Postponement of Sale of Tolls.
The Sale of the Tolls at the Lower Taieri Bridge and the Waihola Gorge Toll-gates, is further postponed till Friday, the 4th November, 1864, at 12 noon.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
WE, Charles Robertson and Peter Gibson, carrying on business in Princes Street, Dunedin, as Bakers and Confectioners; in Great King Street, Dunedin, as Butchers; and in Invercargill, in the Province of Southland, as Contractors, under the style or firm of Robertson and Gibson, have this day dissolved partnership by mutual consent.

A PROCLAMATION
Disallowing certain Otago Provincial Ordinances.
By His Excellency Sir GEORGE GREY, Knight Commander of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same, &c., &c., &c.
WHEREAS by an Act made and enacted in the Imperial Parliament, held in the fifteenth and sixteenth years of the reign of Her Majesty Queen Victoria, intituled “An Act to grant a Representative Constitution to the Colony of New Zealand,” it is amongst other things enacted that whenever any Bill shall have been assented to by the Superintendent, as in the said Act provided, the Superintendent shall forthwith transmit to the Governor an authentic copy thereof; and it shall be lawful for the Governor, at any time within three months after any such Bill shall have been received by him, to declare by Proclamation his disallowance of such Bill and that any such disallowance shall make void and annul the same, from and after the day of the date of such Proclamation, or any subsequent date to be named therein:
And whereas the Ordinances hereinafter specified have been enacted by the Superintendent of the Province of Otago, with the advice and consent of the Provincial Council thereof, and the said Ordinances were received by the Governor on the fifth day of September, One Thousand Eight Hundred and Sixty-four:
And whereas it is expedient that the said Ordinances should be disallowed:
Now therefore I, Sir George Grey, the Governor of New Zealand, in pursuance of the authority vested in me in that behalf by the said recited Act of Parliament, do hereby proclaim and declare my disallowance of the following Ordinances passed by the Superintendent and Provincial Council of the Province of Otago, viz:—
“Education Reserves Ordinance, 1864,”
“Hawksbury Roads Lands Ordinance, 1864,”
“Southern Trunk Road Lands Ordinance, 1864,”
“Kaikorai District Roads Lands Ordinance, 1864,”
“Anderson’s Bay District Roads Lands Ordinance, 1864,”
“Tokomairiro District Roads Lands Ordinance, 1864,”
“Taieri District Roads Lands Ordinance, 1864,”
“Northern Trunk Roads Lands Ordinance, 1864,”
“Caversham and Green Island Districts Roads Lands Ordinance, 1864.”
Given under my hand, at the Government House, at Auckland, and issued under the Seal of the Colony of New Zealand, this fifth day of October, in the year of Our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and Sixty-four.

“The Education Reserves Management and Leasing Ordinance, 1864,”
which Bill was reserved for the signification of the Governor’s pleasure thereon, having been laid before the Governor, His Excellency has been pleased to withhold his assent to the same.

SUBSCRIPTIONS will be at the rate of £1 per annum, or 5s. per quarter, payable in advance to the Publisher. Single copies of the Gazette not to exceed 6d. Subscriptions can commence at any time, but must terminate not later than 31st December, 1865.
PRIVATE ADVERTISEMENTS will be charged at the rate of 6d. per line.
THE GAZETTE is published every Wednesday morning, and Notices for Insertion must be received at the Superintendent’s Office not later than 10 o’clock on the Tuesday preceding. Any irregularity in the receipt of the Gazettes which are given gratis by the Government should be reported at once the Provincial Secretary.
