APPOINTMENT TO BE MADE.
MARKET INSPECTOR, apply by letter to the Provincial Treasurer, by 12 o'clock of Friday, 12th August, 1864.
In the Supreme Court of New Zealand, Otago and Southland District.
NOTICE is hereby given that a Sitting of the Supreme Court for the despatch of Criminal business will be holden at the Court House, Dunedin, on Thursday, the first day of September next, at eleven o'clock in the forenoon; and that a Sitting of the despatch of Civil business will be holden at the Court House aforesaid, on Monday the 12th day of September next, at eleven o'clock in the forenoon, at which times and place all persons under recognisance to appear as Prosecutors, Defendants, or Witnesses, are required to give their attendance.

In the matter of the Petition of James Lampton and Edward Lampton, late trading as J. and E. Lampton, of Dunedin, in the Province of Otago, carriers, out of business, Debtors, and in the matter of the Petition of Walter Bell and William Rae, trading as Bell Rae & Co.; Henry Miller, James Miller, trading as Miller Brothers, and Samuel Hurrey, all of Dunedin, in the Province of Otago aforesaid, Creditors of the said James Lampton and Edward Lampton to the extent of not less than Fifty pounds, and in the matter of the “Debtors and Creditors Act, 1862.”
NOTICE is hereby given that His Honor the Judge has appointed Monday, the nineteenth day of September, 1864, at ten o'clock in the morning, at the Supreme Court-house, Dunedin, for hearing the above petition.

NOTICE is hereby given that a Sitting of the said Court will be holden at the Court-House, Dunedin, on Monday, the 19th day of September next, at the hour of ten o'clock in the forenoon, for the despatch of all business accruing under the provisions of the “Debtors and Creditors Act, 1862.”

In the matter of the petition of the said Oliver Cooper, of Dunedin, in the Province of Otago, Butcher, a Debtor and Partner of Walter Thomson, of Dunedin, Butcher, trading under the firm of Oliver Cooper and Co.; and in the matter of the petition of Nathan Wallach, partner of the firm of Wallach Brothers, of Dunedin, Merchants, a Creditor of the said Oliver Cooper, to the extent of not less than Fifty Pounds; and in the matter of the Debtors and Creditors Act, 1862.”
UPON reading the petition of Oliver Cooper, and the several affidavits thereunto annexed, and upon hearing Mr. Barton of Counsel for the said petitioner, and Mr. Smith of Counsel for Henry Driver, of Dunedin, Stock and Stationholder—It is ordered that within the space of seven clear days from the date of this order, or within such extended time as this Court may grant for that purpose, the said petition do convey, assign, and make over all his real and personal estate and effects unto Henry Driver, of Dunedin, aforesaid Stock and Station Agent, and John Thomas Wright, of Dunedin, aforesaid Stock Agent, upon trust for the collection and conversion into money of the said estate and effects, and the distribution of the net proceeds pro rata, and subject to existing legal priorities (if any) amongst such of the Creditors of the said petitioner, as shall duly prove their respective debts by affidavit, filed in the office of the Registrar at Dunedin, within the space of six calendar months from the date of this order; and upon and subject to such other trust and provisions as the Court may at or before the final hearing of the said petition direct or approve.

In the matter of the “Debtors and Creditors Act, 1862,” and in the matter of the Petition of George Munro, of Munro’s Gully, Tuapeka, Dairyman and Carrier, and Robert Cotton, of Tuapeka aforesaid, Carrier.
NOTICE is hereby given, that the above-named George Munro and Robert Cotton, have this day presented to His Honor Mr. Justice Richmond and filed their Petition, praying that the estate of Henry Hill, late of Dunedin, Contractor, be placed under sequestration for the benefit of all the creditors of the said Henry Hill, in the manner provided by the above-mentioned Act; and that His Honor the Judge has accepted the same, and appointed Monday, the nineteenth day of September, 1864, at ten o'clock in the forenoon, at the Court House, Dunedin, for hearing the above Petition.
