John Hardy, Esquire,
to be Commissioner of Roads and their deviations. Appointment to date from 1st June, 1864.

APPOINTMENT OF MEDICAL BOARD.

Provincial Secretary’s Office,
Dunedin, 26th July, 1864.

NOTICE is hereby given, that His Honor the Deputy-Superintendent of the Province of Otago, has appointed the following persons Members of “The Otago Medical Board,” namely—

Edward Hulme, Esquire, M.D., Provincial Surgeon.
William Purdie, Esquire, M.D.
Alfred Eccles, Esquire, F.R.C.S., England.
Thomas Morland Hocken, Esquire, M.R.C.S., England.
Robert Burns, Esquire, M.R.C.S., Edinburgh.

And that the said Edward Hulme, Esquire, has been appointed President of the said Board.

TENDERS will be received at the Provincial Secretary’s office until noon of 29th July current, for certain repairs required at the Land Office, Dunedin. Further particulars may be obtained at the Land Office.

GOVERNMENT ADVERTISING SHEET

On Wednesday, the 3rd day of August, 1864, and on every Wednesday thereafter until further notice, the Government Advertising Sheet will be published by Mr. Daniel Campbell, at the Daily Times Office, Dunedin.

Scale of Charges not to exceed the following, and to be paid to the Publisher—

  • 1 to 2 insertions inclusive, 4s. per inch per insertion.
  • 3 to 5 insertions inclusive, 3s. per inch per insertion.
  • 6 to 11 insertions inclusive, 2s. 9d. per inch per insertion.
  • 12 to 23 insertions inclusive, 2s. 6d. per inch per insertion.
  • 24 to 35 insertions inclusive, 2s. 3d. per inch per insertion.
  • 36 insertions and upwards, 2s. per inch per insertion.

Advertisements must be left with the publisher not later than 4 o’clock on the day previous to publication.

Any person desirous of obtaining the Advertising Sheet, will please leave his address with the Publisher. No charge will be made for the said Sheet, or for the delivery thereof.
