Public Works Tenders and Licensing Notices




Thursday, the 30th June, for the supply and delivery of 300 cubic yards of road metal, to be delivered on South Trunk Road, between Bridges over the northern and southern branches of Tokomairiro Rivers.

Specifications may be seen and forms of tender obtained at the Road Engineer’s Office, Dunedin, and at the Police Camp, Tokomairiro, on and after Friday, the 24th instant.


Thursday, the 30th inst., for a new or nearly new Boat, 18 to 20 feet keel, with good beam and a square stern. She is to have the following stores—six 18-ft. American ash oars, a boat hook, mop, and rudder complete. The tender to be for the boat complete, with stores, delivered in good order at Clutha Ferry, and to state by what time she could be ready for delivery.

The lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted.

Thursday, the 23rd instant, for Gravelling eastern approach to Suspension Bridge, at North Taieri.

Specifications may be seen, and forms of Tender obtained at the Road Engineer’s Office, Dunedin; and at the Police Camp, Outram, on and after the 17th inst.

The Government do not bind themselves to accept the lowest or any tender.

TENDERS will be received at the office of the Secretary of Public Works until noon of

Monday, the 27th June, for construction of Bridge and Approaches at Puka Tapu Creek, on the line of the Northern Trunk Road, between Palmerston Township, and the Waitemo or Shag River.

Plans and specifications may be seen and forms of tender obtained at the Road Engineer’s Office, Dunedin; and the Police Camp, Hawksbury, on and after Monday, the 20th inst.

The Government do not bind themselves to accept the lowest or any tender.

ELECTION OF WARDEN FOR THE HUNDRED OF HAWKSBURY.—At a meeting held at the Court House, Hawksbury, on the 7th inst., Mr. William Mitchell was elected a warden of the Hawksbury Hundred for the current year, in the room of Mr. Robert Mitchell resigned.
