of you or either of you at the time of the service of this writ, belonging to the above-named defendant, or to or in which such defendant shall at that time be legally or equitably entitled, or otherwise beneficially interested, and whether solely or jointly with any other person or persons, and all debts of every kind then due by you or either of you to such defendant, although the same or part thereof may be payable only at a future day: And we further command you, that you and each of you in your own proper persons, be and appear before such Judge of our said Court as shall be sitting at Chambers on Friday, the 29th day of April, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-four, at ten o’clock in the forenoon, then and there to be examined touching the premises, and to do and receive what shall then and there be considered of you in that behalf and this you shall in no wise omit.

This Writ was issued by George Cook and David Forsyth Main, of Princes Street, Dunedin, Solicitors for the within-named Plaintiffs. 45s. 6d.

In the matter of HENRY PULFORD, of Dunedin, in the Province of Otago, storekeeper, a Debtor not in custody, and in the matter of the "Debtors and Creditors Act, 1862."

Tuesday the eighteenth day August one thousand eight hundred and sixty-three.

UPON reading the Petition of the above-named Henry Pulford, and the affidavits of the said Henry Pulford, sworn herein, on the eighteenth day of July, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-three, and upon hearing Mr. Barton of Counsel for the said Petitioner; It is Ordered that within fourteen days from the date of this order or within such extended time as the Court may grant the said Petitioner Henry Pulford do convey, assign, and make over all his real and personal estate, and effects unto William Hildreth and Robert Smith Dods both of Dunedin, Otago merchants; Upon trust for the collection and conversion into money, of the said estate and effects and the distribution of the net proceeds "pro rata" subject to the existing legal priorities (if any) among such of the creditors of the said Henry Pulford as shall duly prove their respective debts within the space of six calendar months from the date of this Order and upon and subject to such other trust and provisions as this Court may at or before the final hearing of the said Petition direct or approve of.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the sections in Blocks XI., XII., and XIV., Pomahaka District, will be open for application on Thursday, the 28th inst.

The applications for the sections in Block XI. will be decided on Monday, the 9th day of May next, at 12 o’clock noon.

The applications for the Sections in Blocks XII. and XIV. will be decided on Wednesday, the 11th day of May next, at 12 o’clock noon.

UPWARDS OF 177 ACRES.

On Friday, 29th April, 1864.

NOTICE is hereby given, that sections, Nos. 1 of 30, 1 of 31, 1 of 32, & 35, Block 9, containing 177a. 2r. 1p. District, of Pomahaka will be open for application on 29th day of this month, when applications will be received at this office.

CLARENDON.

On Monday, 2nd May, 1864.

Block II., upwards of 4750 acres, Waihola Hundred.

NOTICE is hereby given that applications for Sections in Block II., Clarendon District, and Sections in Pomahaka, XIII., will be open for application on Monday, 2nd May next, and applications for Sections therein will be decided as follows, viz., for Clarendon, Block II., on Wednesday, the 25th day of May, at 12 o’clock noon; Pomahaka, Block XIII., on Friday, the 27th day of May, at 12 o’clock noon.

KAITANGATA DISTRICT.

On Friday, 6th of May, 1864.

Block 1, upwards of 3915 acres (west side of Tokomairiro River.)

NOTICE is hereby given, that applications for Sections in Block 1, Kaitangata District, will be received at the Land Office, on Friday, the 6th day of May next, and such applications will be decided on Friday, the 20th day of May next, at 12 o’clock noon.

THE PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT GAZETTE.

SUBSCRIPTIONS will be at the rate of £1 per annum, or 5s. per quarter, payable in advance to the publisher. Single copies of the Gazette not to exceed 6d. Subscriptions can commence at any time, but must terminate not later than 31st December.

PRIVATE ADVERTISEMENTS will be charged by the Publisher at the rate of 6s. 6d. for every inch or fraction of an inch. One third having been added to the breadth of the Gazette column since the contract was accepted. One third has also been added to the price per inch for Advertisements. The total charge is stated at the foot of each Advertisement.

THE GAZETTE is published every Wednesday morning, and Notices for Insertion must be received at the Superintendent’s Office not later than 10 o’clock on the Tuesday preceding. Any irregularity in the receipt of the Gazettes which are given gratis by the Government should be reported at once to the Provincial Secretary.
