ELECTORAL DISTRICT OF THE NORTH HARBOUR IN THE PROVINCE OF OTAGO.

IN Pursuance of the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, entitled “The Regulation of Elections Act, 1858,” and also of an Act of the aforesaid General Assembly, entitled “The Provincial Election Act, 1858,” I, John Gillies, Returning Officer for the Electoral District of the North Harbor, in the aforesaid Province of Otago, do hereby give notice that by virtue of a Writ, bearing date the twenty-third day of April, 1864, issued under the hand of John Hyde Harris, Esq., Superintendent of the aforesaid Province, an Election will be held for the return of a qualified person to serve for the said District of North Harbor in the Provincial Council of the aforesaid Province of Otago, in place of George Duncan, Esq.; and the nomination of candidates will take place at the North-east Valley School House, on Tuesday, the third day of May, 1864, at 12 o’clock noon, and that the Poll (if necessary) will be taken on Thursday, the fifth day of May, 1864.
