In the matter of the Petition of FRANK ARTHUR HARRIS, of Dunedin, fruiterer, a Debtor, and in the matter of the Petition of Edward Holmes and Thomas Hickling, both of Dunedin, being creditors of the said Frank Arthur Harris, to the extent of not less than Fifty Pounds,

NOTICE is hereby given that the above-named Frank Arthur Harris, with the concurrence of the above-named Edward Holmes and Thomas Hickling, on the 8th day of March, 1864, presented a Petition to Mr. Justice Richmond, praying that the estate of the said Frank Arthur Harris should be sequestrated for the benefit of all his creditors, and that the said Petition was accepted by His Honor, who has appointed the ninth day of May next, at ten o’clock in the forenoon, at the Supreme Court House, Dunedin, for hearing the same.

Victoria, by the Grace of God of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, Queen, Defender of the Faith: To HENRY HEYMANSON, of Dunedin, merchant, and ROBERT WILSON, of the same place, merchant, both of Dunedin, in the Province of Otago and Colony of New Zealand,

Greeting:

WHEREAS, an action is now pending in our Supreme Court of New Zealand, Otago and Southland District, between Edward Hebard, of Dunedin aforesaid, dealer, plaintiff, and James Moore and Robert Moore, both of Caversham, in the Province of Otago aforesaid, storekeepers, defendants, and in order that the plaintiff may proceed in the said action, we command you that you do retain and keep all singular lands and hereditaments, monies and chattels, bills, bonds, and other property of whatsoever nature, in the custody or under the control of you or either of you at the time of the service of this writ, belonging to the above-named James Moore and Robert Moore, or to or in which such defendants shall at that time be legally or equitably entitled, or otherwise beneficially interested, and whether solely or jointly with any other person or persons, and all debts of any kind then due by you to such defendants, although the same or part thereof may be payable at a future day: And we further command you, that you in your proper person, be and appear before such Judge of our said Court as shall be sitting at Chambers on Saturday, the seventh day of May, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-four, at ten o’clock in the forenoon, and there to be examined touching the premises, and to do and receive what shall then and there be considered of you in that behalf, and this you shall in nowise omit.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the above-named George Walker, now a prisoner for debt in Her Majesty’s Gaol at Dunedin, on the nineteenth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-four, presented a Petition to His Honor Mr. Justice Richmond, praying for his discharge from custody and for relief according to the provisions of the “Debtors and Creditors Act, 1862,” and that the said Petition was accepted by His Honor who has appointed Monday, the ninth day of May, 1864, next, at at 10 o’clock in the forenoon, at the Supreme Court House, Dunedin, for the hearing of the said Petition.
