29th instant, for the construction of a Timber Bridge over the Gentle Annie Burn, on the line of road between Dunstan and Wakatip.

Plans and specifications may be seen and forms of Tender obtained, at the Road Engineer’s office, Dunedin, and at the Police Camp, Cromwell Township, on and after Monday, the 14th inst, 4th day of April, 1864, for the erection of a schoolmaster’s house (of wood) at Oamaru.

Plans and specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained, at the office of the Provincial Engineer till Monday, 21st March, and after that date at Police Office, Oamaru.

PLOUGHING AT TOKOMAIRIRO.

NOTICE.—Tenders will be received at the Provincial Storekeeper’s Office till noon, on the 22nd instant, for cross ploughing and preparing for seed the Cultivation Paddock, of 50 acres, at Tokomairiro, together with sowing same with prime seed oats.

AUCTIONEERS’ LICENSES.

IN accordance with clause 8 of the “Licensed Auctioneers’ Ordinance, 1862,” a special meeting will be held in the Provincial Secretary’s Office, Dunedin, on Thursday, the 24th day of March, 1864, at Two o’clock p.m., to consider the applications of Charles Devereux Marshe, now residing at Hamilton’s, in the Province of Otago, and Francis Hartly Traynor, residing in the said Province.

The following householders have signed the certificate required by the said Ordinance :—T. W. Draper and Co., Bremner Bros., James Spensley, Salmon and Glanorald, Thomson and Campbell, J. Nash and Co., as respects the first-named applicant; and Alexander Reid, Dunedin, John M’Callin, H. J. Hanson, Macclaggen street, Edward Watmore, High street, W. and J. Definer, Stafford street, all of Dunedin, as respects the last-named applicant.

SETTLEMENT OF BOUNDARIES OF RUNS.

INTERIOR AND WAIAU DISTRICTS.

(Near Lakes Te Anau, Wakatip, Waiaka, and Hawea.)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the boundaries of Runs Nos. 172, 303, 300B, 301B, 391, 394, 324, 389, 346, 350, 333, 337, 334, 338, 239, 240, 245, 340, 345, 330, 325, 339, 354, and 331, situate in the above districts, have been laid down on the Reconnaissance Survey Maps thereof, which may be seen at this office. Any Runholder objecting to such boundaries must do so within three months from this date, after which period no such objection will be received.

OTAGO GENERAL ROAD BOARD.

A MEETING of the Otago General Road Board will be held at the Government Offices, Dunedin, upon Thursday, the 17th day of March current, at noon, for the despatch of business.

KEROSENE AND PARAFFINE WAREHOUSES.

THE Government is prepared to approve of Warehouses or places of security for storing the above-mentioned Oils within the City of Dunedin, and in any other town of the Province. Parties in possession of suitable premises for that purpose are requested to communicate in writing to me, on or before noon of Tuesday, 15th March current, as respects the City of Dunedin; and as soon thereafter as possible as respects the other towns of the Province—giving a description of the buildings, how far situated from other buildings, the rates proposed to be charged for storing the said oils, with any other information deemed useful.

NOTICE.—WAITAHUNA WATER RACE.

The survey of the above race being now completed, the Government are prepared to receive applications from persons desirous of constructing the same by private enterprise for the purpose of supplying the Waitahuna Goldfield with water. The plans and specifications can be inspected, and further particulars learnt, at the Warden’s offices, Lawrence and Waitahuna, or at the office of the Secretary of the Goldfields Department, Dunedin. Applications will also be received at either of the above-named places until the 31st instant, inclusive.

INCH CLUTHA DISTRICT ROAD RATE.

THE General Road Board having issued a precept for the payment of the District Road Rate recently authorised to be levied over the Inch Clutha District to the undersigned collector of the said rate, Notice is hereby given to the Ratepayers under the Road Ordinance, 1856, within the said Inch Clutha District, that the said rate is now payable to the undersigned, at his house, and that payment thereof must be made within thirty days from the date hereof, under penalty in case of failure so to pay of proceedings being taken for recovery under said Ordinance.
