TO BUILDERS.

FRESH Tenders will be received till noon of Friday, 22nd January current, for the erection of Schoolmaster’s Residence in North, South, and Middle Dunedin Districts. The name of the successful tenderer will be declared at noon on Saturday, 23rd January.

RATTRAY STREET JETTY.

TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary of Public Works till noon of Monday, the 25th day of January, 1864, for a Platform, or Wharf, and work connected therewith.

Plans and Specifications may be seen, at the office of the Provincial Marine Engineer.

GENERAL ROAD BOARD.

OPENING OF TOLL BARS.

NOTICE is hereby given that in virtue of powers granted to the General Road Board, by “The Turnpikes Ordinance, 1862,” on or after this twentieth day of January, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-four years, Toll Bars will be placed on the several points of Road hereinafter mentioned, viz: at the Water of Leith; at Hillside; at the Junction of the East and West Taieri Roads at Saddle Hill; at Waihola Gorge; at the Clutha and Tuapeka Roads Junction; and on the Wakari Road, near the old cemetery; and that Tolls will be levied at these several Bars, at the respective rates specified in the schedule of said ordinance.

GENERAL ROAD BOARD.

In accordance with clause 39 of “The Roads Ordinance, 1856,” notice is hereby given, that the East Taieri District Board of Road Trustees, have intimated their intention to propose at a future meeting of the General Road Board:—“That the Road line at Mr. Andrew Dickson’s property, at the north west side of Sections 32 and 33, Irregular Block, East Taieri District, and also a portion of the Road line on Mr. Murray’s property, at Section 34, Irregular Block, East Taieri District, be closed.

GENERAL ROAD BOARD.

TOKOMAIRIRO DISTRICT RATE.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that in consequence of the committee appointed to hear objections—if any—to the District Road Rate of sixpence per acre, levied over the whole district, by the Tokomairiro District Road Board, for forming and repairing the District Road lines, having failed to meet on the 13th January, a meeting to hear objections—if any—to the said rate, will be held in the School-house, Tokomairiro, at noon of Saturday, the 30th January, current.

WANGALOA ROAD DISTRICT.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the first meeting of the Trustees elected for the Wangaloa District, as formerly advertised, not having been held, said meeting is hereby called for Friday, the 29th day of January, current, at 4 o’clock, p.m., at the house of Mr. Robert Johnston, in said District, for the transaction of general business in connection with the District Roads.

PROVINCE OF OTAGO, NEW ZEALAND, TO WIT.

HEREBY certify that GILBERT STEWART MITCHELL, of Port Chalmers, has this day proved to my satisfaction that he is duly qualified to practice as a surgeon, in accordance with the provisions of an Ordinance passed by the Legislative Council of New Munster, Session I., No. 2, of 1849, intituled “An Ordinance to define the qualifications, and to provide for the remuneration in certain cases of Medical Practitioners.”

Dated, at the Resident Magistrate’s Court, Port Chalmers, this 14th day of January, 1864.

PROVINCE OF OTAGO, NEW ZEALAND, TO WIT.

HEREBY certify that HENRY WILLIAMS, of Dunedin, in the Province of Otago, has this day submitted for my examination, his diploma as a Licentiate of the Apothecaries Company in England, in accordance with the provisions of an Ordinance passed by the Legislative Council of New Munster, Session I., No. 2, of 1849, intituled “An Ordinance to define the qualifications, and to provide for the remuneration in certain cases of medical practitioners.”

Dated at the Resident Magistrate’s Court, Dunedin, this fourteenth day of January, 1864.
