PROVINCIAL SECRETARY’S DEPARTMENT.

LIST of tenders accepted since 25th December, 1863, with names of successful Tenderers.

POLICE.

Forage.—Coal Creek, for 6 months, from 22nd Dec., 1863.—Chaff, £25 per ton.—Oats, 13s. per bushel, Charles M’Greggor.

Forage.—Teviot, Hay or Chaff, 5 tons, at £35 per ton. Colonial Oats, 100 bushels, at 15s. per bushel. Bran, 20 bushels, at 6s. 6d. per bushel, Messrs De Carlo and Co.

Fuel.—West Taieri, for 6 months, from 22nd Dec., 1863.—Firewood, £1 per cord, Daniel Fisher.

Fuel.—Lower Taieri Ferry, for 3 months from 31st December, 1863.—Firewood, £1 10s. per cord, J. Dyer.

Fuel.—Government Offices. 1. Police Barracks and Government office, at £1 17s. 6d. per cord. 2. Gaol and Hospital, at £1 17s. 0d. per cord. 3. Lunatic Asylum and Immigration Barracks, £2 8s. 0d. per cord, with option of using Coal. P. & J. Lindsay.

Do.—Coal, £2 10s. 0d. per ton, with the option of using wood. John Arliss.

AUCTIONEER’S LICENSE.

IN accordance with Clause 8 of the “Licensed Auctioneer’s Ordinance, 1862,” a Special Meeting will be held in the Provincial Secretary’s Office, Dunedin, on Thursday, the 21st day of January, 1864, at 2 o’clock p.m.

PUBLIC WORKS.

THE time for receiving Tenders for the undermentioned works, is extended, in consequence of the recent holidays, till noon, on the days aftermentioned—

11th January.—Erection of Fencing, &c., at School House, Oamaru.

Do.—Construction and Supply of Furniture and Fittings, and erection of Fencing, at School House, Caversham.

Do.—Construction and Supply of Furniture, and Fittings, and erection of Fencing, at School House, Saddle Hill.

Do.—Erection of Fencing, School House, Tokomairiro.

Do.—Erection of a Schoolmaster’s residence in Dunedin, North, South, and Middle Districts.

Do.—Cranes, three and five tons.

18th January.—School House, South Clutha.

Do.—Telegraph Posts.

TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary of Public Works, until noon, on Tuesday, the 12th inst., for removing and re-erecting the Weighbridge at Jetty Street Jetty to Stuart Street Jetty; and, for Supply and Erection of a Weighbridge to weigh up to ten (10) tons.

Further particulars to be obtained at the Office of the Provincial Engineer.

TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary of Public Works, till noon, on the days aftermentioned, for executing the following works—

18th January, 1864, for the construction and supply of Furniture for the Provincial Government Offices, Dunedin; also, for the erection of Water Closets, Urinals, &c., at the Court House, Dunedin.

25th of January, 1864, for the erection of Harbor Office and Boat Shed at Port Chalmers.

1st of February, 1864, for the erection of a Schoolmaster’s Residence at Hampden, Moeraki.

All the Plans and Specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained, at the Office of the Provincial Engineer, Dunedin, and with respect to the last-mentioned work, the Plan and Specification may be seen at the Provincial Engineer’s Office, until Monday, the 11th January; and after that date, at Mrs. Young’s Store, at Hampden.

IMPOUNDED on the thirty-first day of December, 1864, by Constable Malley,

ONE BAY HORSE,

small white star on forehead, supposed to belong to for trespassing on Princes street, for which no damages are claimed, and in default of being released, the above horse will be sold at the Public Pound, at South Dunedin on the twenty-seventh (Wednesday) day of January, 1864, at 12 o’clock noon.
