HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that he has appointed
St. John Branigan, Esq., Commissioner of Police,
to be the Officer for Inspecting Carriages, for which Licenses have been applied for under the “Licensed Carriage Ordinance, 1862.”

HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that on and after the date hereof, Licenses under the “Licensed Carriage Ordinance, 1862,” will be issued by the Provincial Treasurer of the said Province.

HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that he has authorised
The Commissioner of Police,
to cause the Regulations made for the well ordering of Common Lodging Houses within the City of Dunedin, and published in Gazette, No. 279, dated 9th December, 1863, to be enforced, and to give all necessary aid and assistance to the “Town Board of Dunedin,” for the purpose of effecting the due observance of the said Regulations and the conviction of offenders.

HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified, that in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him he has appointed
Otto Charles Oscar Paschen,
a member of the Police force of the Province of Otago, to be Inspector of Slaughter Houses and of Cattle intended for slaughter, within the Dunedin Slaughter-house District.
