INSPECTORS OF SLAUGHTER HOUSES APPOINTED.

HIS Honor the Superintendent directs
it to be notified, that in pursuance
and exercise of the powers vested in him,
he has appointed the several members of
the Police Force of the Province of Otago,
hereinafter named, to be Inspectors of
Slaughter Houses, and of cattle intended
for slaughter within the respective Slaugh-
ter House districts set above their names.

a member of the Police Force of the Pro-
vince of Otago, to be Gaoler at
Tuapeka,
vice McCarthy transferred.

APPOINTMENT TO BE MADE.

APPLICATIONS will be received at
the Office of the Provincial Secretary
until noon of Tuesday next, the 22nd
instant, for the appointment of Clerk to
the Government Storekeeper.


WANTED, by the Town Board of
Oamaru, a thoroughly competent
Surveyor, to take the permanent levels of
the Streets of the Town. The applicant
will be subjected to the approval of the
Chief Surveyor of the Province, as to fit-
ness.

and Forms of Tender obtained at the
Office of the Provincial Engineer.

And until noon on Tuesday, the 12th
day of January, 1864—

For the Erection of a Schoolhouse at
Hampden.

Plans and Specifications may be seen
and Forms of Tender obtained at the
Office of the Provincial Engineer until
Saturday, the 2nd of January, and after.
