ELECTION OF WARDENS WITHIN HUNDREDS.

THE Settlers desirous of obtaining depasturing licences within Hundreds, and of electing Wardens, are requested to note and comply with the clauses 56 and 57 of the Land Regulations, which provide that application for depasturing licence must be made on or before the 1st January in each year, and that a return of the number of acres occupied by the applicant must be made to the Waste Land Board.

If a sufficient number of persons in each Hundred do not take out licences before the 1st of January, there can be no election of Wardens.

NOTICE.

ALL supplies or services performed for the Police Department are obtained only on printed forms of requisition issued by officers in charge of districts. The account for the supply should be made out by the claimant on the back of the requisition and signed, on the supply or service being completed, by the officer incurring the expenditure, and presented for payment during the month it is received. As this notice has already been published, no other form of claim against the department will be recognized.

SPECIAL MEETING of the EDUCATION BOARD.

A Special Meeting of the Education Board will be held at the Government Offices, Dunedin, upon Thursday, the 19th day of November 1863, at 12 o’clock noon, for the despatch of business.

NOTICE is hereby given that a Sitting of this Court for the dispatch of Criminal Business will be held at the Supreme Court House, in the city of Dunedin, on Tuesday, the 1st day of December next, at eleven o’clock in the forenoon; and that a Sitting for the dispatch of Civil Business will be held at the Court House aforesaid on Monday, the 14th day of December next, at eleven o’clock in the forenoon, at which times and place all persons under recognizance to appear as Prosecutors, Defendants, or Witnesses, are hereby required to give their attendance.

on the 8th day of November, 1863, by Daniel Carmichael,
two Mares,

One dark brown, white star on forehead, branded O on off shoulder

The other a bay mare, no visible brands, small white star on forehead, height about 15 hands each,

Owner unknown, for straying about Mount Pleasant, for which Daniel Carmichael claims £2 as work done by him and animals impounded.
