CLUTHA FERRY.

TO be Let for one year, from 1st January, 1864, the Clutha Ferry, on the Great South Road. For further particulars apply at my office, on or after Monday, 26th October current.

Tenders to be lodged at the said office by Tuesday, November 10th, 1863.

The Government will not be bound to accept the highest or any tender.

FIVE POUNDS REWARD.

STRAYED, from the Paddock of Messrs. Dundas and Howden, Half-way Bush, on the 19th September last, a bay Gelding, branded Y near shoulder, 5 off shoulder, white nose, hind feet white, about 16 hands high. The above Reward will be paid to any party delivering the Gelding at the Police Stables, Dunedin.

TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary of Public Works, Dunedin, till noon of Tuesday, the 10th November, for the erection of a Court-house at the Molyneux.

Plans and Specification may be seen at the Office of the Provincial Engineer till 26th inst.; and after that date, at the Police Station, Molyneux.

TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary of Public Works until twelve o’clock noon of November 3rd, for the construction of forty (40) Chains of Fencing on the Road from Waikouaiti to the Government Bush Reserve.

Specifications can be seen and Forms of Tender obtained at the Road Engineer’s Office, Dunedin, and the Police Camp, Waikouaiti.

I, MICHAEL CREAGH, Registrar of Joint Stock Companies for the Provinces of Otago and Southland, do hereby notify that I have registered a memorandum of association, with articles of association annexed, establishing a Company, with limited liability of the shareholders therein, entitled “The Dunedin Water Supply Company;” the objects for which the said Limited Company are established, being—The Supply of Water within the Town and Suburbs of Dunedin, and to such localities as may be in the vicinity of the works of the said Company.

And I hereby further notify, that in pursuance of the provisions of “The Joint Stock Companies Act, 1860,” I have issued a Certificate of Incorporation of the said Company, bearing date this fourteenth day of October, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-three.

NOTICE TO MARINERS.

TAIERI RIVER.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the South Channel at the mouth of the Taieri River is now open, having a depth of (5) five feet on the bar at low water spring tides; and that the North Channel is so narrowed and nearly dry at low water, as to be unsafe for vessels to enter by it. Masters of vessels visiting this river should be conversant with the signals in use at the bar, and be guided entirely by them. Directions for the use of the same can be had on application at the Harbour Office, Dunedin, and Port Chalmers.
